Got tired of the handles sticking on my wife's burn. The issue as you can see from the pics is rusty pivot pins. Couldn't drive them out so I ground off the ends with my dremel and then drilled them. The drilling proceeds heated the plastic to the melting point. This was good as it freed the rust/plastic bond, just be careful not to melt it too much. As soon a I saw plastic starting to bulge out I'd stop. Once the hole was drilled they punch out relatively easy. I used a deep socket behind the pin so I didn't break the plastic.

Oh yeah after the pin was out I drilled the plastic hole out to just over 3/16" and used a SS 10-24 pan head machine screw with a SS lock nut.
