1994 K3500 6.5 turbo diesel with home made turbo master
2 times - for long periods the turbo boost gauge was reading zero
There was also a small amount of oil on the under side of the hood above the turbo area. The best I could tell on a short look was that it came from the intake side of the spring clamped connection. It was definitely leaking in between the aluminum and the hose. At the least I will have to reseal that connection.
Could have just been blown by the fan to the area above the turbo.
I don't know that, that would have anything to do with the boost gauge not reading. It read for most of the trip. then didn't read. read again and for the last 30 miles or so was reading zero again.
Any other thoughts or advice?
The oil level was still good. No abnormal or significant drop in the oil. It doesn't take much oil to make a little mess.
