1997 4x4 3/4 ton - what is it worth?

Not sure what I want to offer them if anything. :confused:

101000 Miles.
Has a wrench with a heavy cable type front bumper.
Recent white paint.
Doors and fenders are different.
Missing wheel flairs off fender.
Small wrinkle in extended cab below window, hard to notice.
Tailgate and mounting hardware gone.
Body good otherwise.
No hitch.
Spare cable broken and spare missing.
Turbo WG welded shut.
Road tube - CDR missing and valve covers on wrong sides of engine. Hole in turbo intake NOT plugged.
No oil on AT dipstick.
New batts and looks like new Alt and compressor.
Column and dash below column ruined/taken apart.
Shifter missing.
Rear seat missing
Front seat has big rip in normal wear area.
Rubber floors manual windows locks.
Good tires.

I figure the Column can be put back together. I assume the trans needs work as they say it won't move, parts stolen.

Obviously been wrecked a few times. Is it a salvage title? IF the engine was in GREAT condition I still wouldn't take it for over 1,000, salvage is 500 around here.
 
you could buy a nice one f0r 3300$. I paid 5k for my Dually and that is a 2000 K3500. Unfortunatley these trucks don't command much of a price. It's good when your looking to buy one but sucks after you dumped money in and want to sell it. That is why most of us just keep em and much like our wives..till death do us part..except I will miss the truck....:D

Check out the farm truck thread I have. I just posted up a 98 4x4 w/ no start issue loaded interior for 1,000. No start is usually a ground/wiring issue, I HOPE!

That one worries me.....Could be a deal breaker.
 
Over boost, high EGT, high IAT. I bet it ran like a raped ape for a while though :rolleyes5:

I thought the computer de-fuels at 12 PSI boost. ATT users have complained about this w/o a tune.

No, Truck is too rough to restore.
 
If your a human being and not an animal, while you drive with WG tied shut, you should be OK......Like stated above, you should defuel before you get to blown engine syndrome....."As per Mr. Heath"
