i have a 1995 chevy 3500. reg cab. now my problem is the motor speed on the heater is either off or no matter what speed i put the switch at.it has its on high. i thought is was the resister. i replaced it. it did not fix the problem. so i repaced the relay under the dash on the heater ,near the resister. that did fix it either. the dealer said it has to be one of them. am i missing something here? thank you much.

if it's not the resistor then I would suspect the controls which IIRC are more prone to failure than other years and more expensive

what is IIRC? also i thoght the switch itself was the problem. also is this heater system controled by a body control module? thats what bumper to bumper auto said. i dont think so. i can fix anything. but finding what is wrong, thats my problem. thank you

Most likely then the fan switch is bad, luckily it is replaceable seperately. AC DELCO part#15-72275 for a new switch. It could also be a failed control head which unfortunately is a VERY common problem for 95's. I kept burning them out in mine until I found the poor ground connection behind the glove box.

ya i went to that page. and mine is different. my 1995 does not have factory air conditioning. does that make a difference? i dont know. thank you much.

May have a different blower switch and for sure lacks the compressor running when fan is off issue... Connector is still there and burns up from high draw motors that are failing IMO.
