1995 chevy 3500 turbo diesel - $1000 (Clinton)

It depends how the block was broke, but it can be welded with nickle rod. I've only seen one one starter ear that was beyond repair. You might have to pull the engine and get it in a stand to weld it.

That's what I read. For $1000 project, sounds reasonable, I suppose. Would the person have to take the motor completely apart?

I read it's worth rebuilding the entire motor since you have it out, but I think I'd rather have a quick turn around.
