I am new to your group and have the need to locate a simple part:
My original fuel filter was the indexed drop in cartridge with metal top and separate plastic ring.
I had a fuel pump replaced couple years back and began using the one piece fuel filter.
Would like to go back to the original but cannot find the ring, any ideas on a part number or internet site?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

I would suggest you try one of our very experienced vendors here. Maybe even give them a call and they will surely help you out.

The old style two piece filter is hard to come by anymore in the auto part stores.

The one piece is just as good. You just have to torque them down a little harder(if you ask me).

Why do you want to change filter style?

Please fill out your signature. It helps me help you.

I still have the original Stanadyne filters (not on my site) for $24.99 I should be able to get the new ring if they are still making them.

BTW welcome to TTS.

Thanks Jeff

OK I can get the lock ring $9.50 LMK if you want one.

Thanks, nice talking with you and will be looking for your invoice!

Thank all of you for your responses, I am needing to replace a filter around 3k since my old ride is not getting the use it is accustomed to and find the cartridge that uses the ring to be around the $9-11 cost in central Virginia. That is more than a 50% savings over the one piece filter.

I ordered up 2 rings. If anyone else is in need LMK.
Will be here in 7-10 days.

I was actually looking for one a while back since I have 5 of these filters left and the only ring I have is on a truck that hasn't gotten much use.

OK! got the Lock Rings in today.
One is going out to Sam today (Tyeriver) Thanks again.

I had to buy a six pack of them, anyone else need one?

Ok, Ok! Stop shouting already! I'll get one... Lol

Let me count many naked ffm's I have before I decide how many I need.

I hate buying 6 packs and having leftovers... :cheers2:

HOW ABOUT YOU TANNER, YOU INTERESTED IN ONE?:incazzato:

Just kidding, I'll get an invoice out to you later.
