First of all hello and thanks in advance. I'm looking for a place to start. I'm thinking that I should figure out if the lift pump is the starting issue and hoping that the service throttle soon is the RPM issue. Do not want to put a new IP in if i don't have to.
New purchase. PO was not much help. He said he replaced the LP but I need to go through the whole truck anyway.
Problem: Explain your problem in concise language (ie: Cranks but won’t fire). ______________Truck will crank and start but only after an extended cranking time (20 seconds at least). The RPM immediately goes to 2000 RPM and will only come down if the throttle is pressed at which time it will rev to 3500 RPM momentarily and then drops to idle and hunts there from 300 to 700 RPM. The check engine light is on as well as the service throttle soon. New PMD with heat shield installed. ______________
