1993 steering column swap?

What does it take to swap a steering column out? Mine has a damaged high low beam lever at the rod, and busted up to where you can see the wheel locking pin and plate.

Maybe it is easier to repair the top part or just change the entire unit?
 
Easier to swap the whole column. A couple of wiring connectors ,a screw for the gear indicator and maybe 6 bolts. It's even easier on the 95+ trucks. Column can be disconnected from the steering shaft inside the cab.
 
On the '93 there are 4 bolts that connect the bottom plate to the firewall, 2 that connect the upper to the lower dash, and the slip joint bolt/nut. Then the ele connector, fairly easy swap.
