Is there any aftermarket radio that will fit in the factory location for the ‘control head’?

The storage area dash location goat F and bailing wire option isn’t going to cut it. That is what is currently there with the factory tuner/amp missing. :mad2:

What part is the contral head? I have a CD player where my tape deck thing was in my 94. sure is hard to reach. miss my stock one

"Control Head" is above the HVAC controls. Has the clock...
Tuner/amp is located by the ash tray and throttle. Most aftermarket goes in the tape deck/storage area.

I understand now :) Im not sure if anyone makes one but if they do that would be a good spot, as I said its hard to reach having an aftermarket one in the middle

My truck had an after market radio in it when purchased. Any other gadgets or insturments made to go in the controller space?

No!

The area is to small for anything. Pull yours out and take a look in the hole, very small and an oddball shape for aftermarket stereos.

If you notice it is in three pieces, the radio control unit, the under dash amp, and the tape deck/ EQ and tape deck.

I was looking for a control unit that does not stick out, I have not found one.

I like the factory set up.

You have two options, a storage space for tapes and a flat face to put gauges or what ever else you want.
