1993 CHEVY 4X4 CREW CAB PICKUP/TRUCK - $5500 (Sioux Falls, SD)

I think it was $8000 or more. Enough to be out of my price range for the truck
Mine too. Oh well, I guess I will just have to repower the ol' 1989 suburban silverado diesel with a 6.5 turbo, new(er) transmission and some sort of heavier drivetrain. It's the only thing that will hold my family and all of our things while we travel.

I thought about completely refur bing the interior with "modern" seating and carpeting. No electric seating other than heated seats. My wife voted for heated seating for as many seats as possible. Of course me being the smart guy that I am, told her to bring my old Marine Corp poncho liner and a cup of hot coffee. Ha Ha. On a more serious note, I thought about modifying the rear heater to blow rear heat down onto the side windows as an active defroster system like the front. Or making some sort of mod for overhead ducting similar to our more modern yukon.
