1986 GMC 1 ton Plow Truck

I just shot a guy on craigslist and offer to trade my jeep for his truck. I doubt he'll bite, but if he does, does this truck seem worth it? I know he doesn't have any close up shots, but anything to look out for? I'm thinking of either putting the 6.5 into that truck, or putting that truck's front axle into my truck....just a few thoughts...

its my understanding that the axle out of that truck would require the tcase as well cause the pumpkin is on the pass side insted of the D side which is why most guys use either a dana 44 or 60 out of an old ford

if that's the case - could i just mate the tcase with the nv4500?

im not sure there may be other stuff in the way not sure on that it might work tho

also why wouldnt you just put a turbo on the 6.2 thats in that truck that what im planning on doing with the 86 cc 1ton that im trying to get only thing is i think the heads wont work beacouse of the inj angle but some one was saying that if you use the short body inj it will work with the 6.5 manifolds not sure if the oil drain is there though

Gump, PM Joey D in the 6.5 section. He did exactly what you want to do and yes you need a Ford Reverse Rotation Front End. I Think Rock something is the name of the company that makes the conversion kits. Too bad that truck was left to deteriorate. It looked like a nice truck at one time.

I ended up trading my jeep for a 3/4 ton truck. But that's good future reference. Thank you!
