I have a broke cowboy buddy that needs to fix his truck back up for cheap.
He has a 2007 F250 PSD CCSB auto 4wd, and i was riding with him when we nailed a doe, luckily it hit dead center, so the only damage is the a/c condenser, bumper, foglights, and plastic strip above the bumper. amazingly the grille was spared.
He is a fellow near-broke college student like me, so he nneds to spend as little as possible to get it back right.
I am sure the condenser will wait till warm weather, so right now it is the bumper and related components.
The problem is the truck is a bright red XLT, so that means there is a fairly uncommon filler strip out there, as it seems not many folks get bright red around here.
So my questions are: roughly how much will a plastic strip run new? if it is too much, he and i are thinking he needs to buy a custom fit heavy bumper.
If we do go that route, what is the best bang for the buck (brand) in aftermarket bumpers?
