Hey guys it been awhile since i have been on this site. I bought an 06 LBZ 2500hd SRW truck two months ago with 219000 km. The truck runs great and worked super until a few days ago.

I was driving home from my buddies house when my speedometre started going crazy. It bounces all over the place when i get moving. My ABS light and service brake system message comes up to. I took it to get the codes read and it said front right wheel sensor so i replaced it and nothing different. I also replaced the VSS on the transfercase and still nothing.

I took out the ABS fuse and unplugged both wheel sensors and it still jumps around. Im not really sure what to do now could someone tell me were all the grounds are ill start by cleaning them. Has anybody had this problem before im not really sure were to look anymore.

My LLY gauges did that, but I did not have any CELs or system messages.

The instrument cluster stepper motor was going out, which I replaced. I believe that there is a bulletin from GM that describes the problem.

Sounds like either a wiring issue, or the speed sensor on the output of the trans is messing up. The VSS can mess up due to excess play in the transfer case as well as failed sensors.

If it was my stepper motor i dont think it would send the abs off. It drives me crazy it dings for like 30 seconds every time the ABS light comes on so i pulled the radio fuse. I looked over the wires and couldnt really find anything. Also i did replace the vss there is a bit of play in the driveshaft but i dont think it should be enough to throw the sensor out. Im pretty sure at this point its wiring but were do i start.

I lifted the back of the truck up and put it in gear and fooled around with a bunch of wires while my dad watched the speedo and we couldnt make it do anything. Is there a vssb on these trucks like there is on a 6.5.

Im going to go look for and clean all the grounds i can see right now and see what that does.

Now that I Think of it, this could be Alternator Related. Yours could be going bad.

I know when it went Bad on my Blazer, the Gauge Cluster Needles were Freaking Out and the Warning Lights were Lighting Up like a Christmas Tree.

It was very Intermittent too. Some Days it would do it, others it wouldn't.

I cleaned all the grounds i could find and it still does the same thing. does anybody know were i could get a wiring diagram so i can follow the speedo wires better and see were there screwed.

After a bunch of headace i finally found the problem. The wires were rubbing and bouncing on the wheel well. hard to believe it got this bad those fenders are just cheap plastic crap.

Could be it had some body work done and a loom clamp or such was left out. If you took a pic of the area we could take a look at ours to be sure we don't see that problem starting to develop.

If I had to guess, I would say it was underneath the drivers side floor board where teh harness turns upwards. I know on my donor I though it was pretty close right through there, and it is tight on my BURB there as well.

I tried uploading pics of it last night but it says the files are to big. Im working on it should have them up by tonight. It was about four inches from the main fuse block in the harrness that runs to the TCM. Im not sure there ever was a clamp to hold this harness in place i zip tied it the wheel well now and taped it up really good so it should be ok.

Whats the biggest image file i can upload these are 2 MB and it wont let me?

I still have an ABS light on for my right front wheel sensor. I replaced the sensor and checked the wheel bearing it was fine. No rust or dirt on the ring gear in there. I looked through a few more harnesses and couldnt find nothing could somebody plz tell me were I could find a wiring diagram for the ABS system. I subscribed to ALLDATAdiy.com which was a waste there is hardly anything usefull on there

That's nasty! If you go out in some dew covered grass, a muddy path or loose gravel and put the ABS to work it may clear your code.
With big pic files, try opening with paint and resize to 1000 pixels before uploading them to your post.
