06 LBZ Allison fit a LMM?

Just as the title,

Will a 06 LBZ Allison 6-Speed fit in a new LMM?
 
I think most states only allow you to replace with same year or newer. But with that said, aren't they same block? If so, should fit.
 
I believe it will work, but make sure that it uses the same number of speed sensors. Some of them have one in the bellhousing and some don't. The newer trannies don't use the speed sensor in the bellhousing anymore.
 
Other than those main engine/transmission harnesses completely changing I know LMMs are top post battery while we are side post. :p
 
I didn't realize you were talking about just the transmission, maybe I should look at what section the thread is in. For some reason I read it as swapping the LBZ AND Allison into a GMT-900. Oh...I need sleep.
