My family has a 2004 Suburban with the flex fuel 5.3L in it and it is quitting about once or twice a year when it is 85+ degrees out side and after over 1 hour. We have no idea what's wrong, no tell-tale signs here.

Anyways, any advice is appreciated and my dad swears that there's a specific number for suburban owners to call, is that true?

My wifes 04' Tahoe had done this before...was a bad fuel pump(intermittent)...GM has gone through several revisions...

Fuel filter, that is the problem in my mom's 02 Sub right now. We had the fuel filter go out on us, but it just quit. Try to not run them outta gas, the fuel keeps the pump cool, and if it isn't submerged, it can pick up air, and overheat, and then it quits.
