Hey all,

Cleaning under the 01 project rig today, and I found a cut wiring harness.

It is a 2 wire harness, and is about the only one linking the trans and the t-case. was this for ABS related and was intentionally cut? pretty high up for it to be accidental.

Front ABS sensor is bad (fiberglass sheath is completely broke off the unit bearing hub assy. :O so I am wondering if they were having screwy brakes and disabled the ABS.

Any info appreciated,
Thanks!

Can you get a picture? Sounds like the speed sensor harness from your description. So long as a front wheel speed sensor is working, the ecm can get a speed signal from the abs to make the speedo work. If it's a zf6 trans, then it would run without the output speed sensor functioning.
