OK...I have an 01' 2500HD GMC

grill is peeling... road rash etc...

I'd like to freshen it up a bit and would like to put a newer model grill on it (up to an 07{preferably} sierra classic)
any ideas if this would fit?I believe the grills are the same on the 1500 and 2500HD's only difference is the spacer...the design of the 01's bumper cover I think eliminates the need for the spacer...

I'd also like to consider a newer style (03 up) bumper with the painted fairing and bumper pad...if that comes out cheaper than an after market steel bumper

so any idea what it would take to make the bumper work as well...custom fabricated brackets or just interchanging different part #'s...

Thanks,

GT

Mine is mostly hid behind a grill guard, but every time I look at that thing I wonder what else I could do there when I finally finish my handmade bumper/grill guard......... be interested to see what you come up with, Pepp

myself and John have GMC's don't know if that would help your chevy...

still nothing found out though...

While on a trip a truck in front of us kicked up a radiator hose which clipped the front left corner, headlight and grill. When I had everything fixed the body shop said that the '01 style grill is no longer available, and I got a newer style (Chevy). It looks purty good. Down side, I don't now what model grill was used......:dunno: Anyways, if the newer Chevy grills work on older rigs, no reason to believe the GMCs would be any different.

Post it. We could tell you. GMC's changed front ends in 2003 and stayed the same through 07 classic.
