I'm ironing out some of the last details of my conversion, and I have to get a different airbox as the stock one is too big to clear the hood. I was looking at a few online and they all say they are 3.5" tube where the MAF goes in, but my stock 01 box is 4" where the MAF goes in. Was 01 a one off box or does the smaller tube not mess with the MAF sensor readings?
 
I dont believe the 1/2 inch will effect your maf readings. You should be alright. If you have any issues you can always change out the tube later.
