When I bought my ATT I sent Heath back my ECM to tune because he said he would only charge me $50. So I did and it woke it right up. Loved it but hated the smoke at high elevation. Fast forward probably close to 10 years and finally decide to to order the ATT tune from Patrick. He said I...
When I have new heads or rebuilt that have been planed, I always send the manifolds to the machine shop to be planed also and never have had to use the gaskets. They always seal great with nothing. And nice thing is there is no gaskets to blow out.
And you would be correct. Up to 200,000 on my 07 5.3L all that was done was oil changes, air filters, spark plugs and trans service at (100K, 200K). Just before 300K it needed and alternator and evap solenoid. It now has 310K and I need to do spark plugs and trans service again. I've got a...
So I'm coming up on 100,000 since I changed my injectors. I bought the 40 HP injectors from Heath diesel last time. I went on his website and he wants $1200 for the same injectors. Not going to happen. Where is everyone buying injectors nowadays? Was wondering if anyone has used the PDI...
My son just ordered the HX40II from PTwiring solutions today for his K5 that we put a 2001 6.5 in last year. It has the 4911 pump on it with a GM8 now. So at some point I am going to pull my ATT and try his turbo.
Tuning is huge. High elevation I get quite a bit of smoke with Heaths tune at...
Not really the case for me. My ATT with CAC and ATT makes more power from idle all the way through the power band than the GM8 ever did. My CAC is mounted where the plastic skid plate thing was mounted stock so not causing any heat issues with radiator. Been there for 15 years and never had a...
I did a write up on the Dieselplace back in the day. I bought my 99 and towed my toy hauler up through the Sierra Nevada mountains quite a bit and lost power. Hooked up my scanner and found that my IAT's would get to 304 degrees and I would lose power. Fabbed up a CAC and no more losing power...
Issue for me with that pump was not even holding a positive pressure under load when it was new. It was 1 of the pumps pulling down to a vacuum when towing when it was new. I didn't like that, so I returned it.
After 3 Walbro FRC-10 pumps in 5 years, I won't buy another. My problem with stock lift pumps was after doing the feed the beast mod it would pull down to a vacuum when I pulled grades with my trailer. I tried a AC delco pump for 99-00. I tried the 93 AC delco, the 93 Airtex. All of them...
Here's a link of my Cummins Delphi install on mine. We put the same setup on my son's K5 when we did the 6.5 swap. So far so good pressure and reliability wise for me and him.

Well Bill Heath knew relatively close what it was and gave me a sweet tune other than the smoke at higher elevation. I can't believe how it woke the truck up after his reflash. Good luck with whatever turbo you decide. It seems more turbo's became available since I did the ATT. Or I guess I...
No. No pissing match here. Just letting him know I've been happy with it for about 10 years. No problems with it at all. I was hesitant to buy it because it's a chinese turbo and I really don't like most chinese made stuff. But turbine Doc was in on this as well with slim shady so I figured...
That's a shame. You'll miss out on a good turbo. Been running mine for about 10 years now with no complaints. Heath redid my tune to more match the ATT and it runs really well. My only issue is it smokes pretty good at higher elevation and if I really get on it. But Heath reflashed it for...
I'll bring my scanner home this weekend and take a little drive and check it for you. I live 1.6 miles from my shop and when I got here this morning and checked it, it was only at 75 degrees and went up to 77 after about 5 minutes of sitting. So then I took it for a drive of about 7-8 miles...
