That is how mine displays in timeset, but only in timeset. In the dashboard, snapshots, everything else, it reads measured and desired. Since I'm trying to diagnose what my searches have indicated as a possible timing problem, I am using dashboard and snapshots to get all parameters during the...
Gmctd, I've read over your sticky on setting the timing/TDCO on the electronic 6.5's. I am left with some confusion though on the Base, Actual, and Desired. I have GMTDScan Tech, and all it lists is actual injection pump timing, measured injection timing, and desired injection timing. I was...
Little update:
I got a known good pump and put it on. I do believe it will run now. I just had it fired up here not too long ago. Now, I have found a new issue. I hooked my GMTDScan Tech up to read the codes, and though there are none, it says the shift lever is in second. Problem is...
Not exactly a toolbox item, but books. You can never have enough books. You can buy them off Helm and eBay for various prices. The real GM ones aren't cheap, but are life savers and you can never have enough books. I still want to get an OBD-II book, then I'll be happy (for now).
I know I'm a little late on this, but I just wanted to say something about this post. It is probably one of the best I have ever seen in any 6.5 forum, IMHO. No other post has made me quite as proud to be a 6.2/6.5'er. As a few of you know, I have been having a couple issues with my truck...
Please do a write up! A guy on TDP did this, and said he was going to make mounting kits for it. I PM'd him a while ago about it, but he hasn't been on line in forever. I love those mirrors myself.
Neither did any different with OS unplugged. Didn't unplug CPS. I used my GMTDScan Tech to check for codes. I have a multimeter, and used it to check the various circuits at the PMD connector as outlined in the GM manual for diagnosing a no start.
The LP works fine. SES is working fine. I think the loss of power and smoke is a boost problem, but it's not in the vacuum system or the turbo. One of the two good PMD's was used without an extension cable, still no fix. OS was part of the manual troubleshooting, still a no go. It is all...
There's only one underhood fuse I know of off the top of my head, and it's fine. I went through my Helm factory manual, and it had me test all the voltages and such, and all tested fine. The manual indicated an injection pump.
Hasn't run long enough to get up to temp to do TDCO. The only thing that started after making a turn was the smoke. The no start didn't start until three months later.
