I saw this NeverDie battery on Trucks this past weekend and they said this thing can provide enough or more juice than 2 stock batteries, and will start the the trucks for years and years. And, it never dies!!
So I look up this high speed, low drag battery and this thing costs like $1700...
Hmmm, interesting. I did not receive nor do I use plastic with my spacers. I haven't had any issues with them so far. BUt I don't run them year round.
I have two sets of wheels with 255/85/16s winter, and the other set with 235/85/16's for summer.
I think I am going to use the 140 ft lbs and...
Devin - Yeah, this is wierd, nothing like the manufacturer spreading different information about the same spec.
I am not concerned about getting the wheel tight, I just don't want to pull the studs through the aluminum spacers.
I'll see your "Capacities and Specifications" and raise you a GM Service Manual.... I had to fold the page to get it all in the pic...Now I am confused....
Thanks Devin!
I thought sure my helms manual said 175, I need to check that out and find out for sure. For some reason I thought the duallys were much higher than the 2500s.
Thanks fellas.
I never thought of emailing Fred....wow! I am slippin'! The spacers are from him and they are aluminum. I am seeing some torque specs here, but I am thinking the specs on a DUALLY are 175 ft lbs on the rear. Right?
It's been awhile since I put the spacers on my dually, and I can't remember what the torque specs are for the spacers.
I am thinking it's the same as the wheels, 175 ft lbs on the rear. It's just that the spacers are aluminum and I would hate to pull a spacer stud though. The spacers were made...
I too have an '01 LB7 and I like it even though my injectors crapped out before 100K miles. But, I replaced them and still driving it.
Since you stated that you have an upgraded exhaust and air intake, I would rebuild the transmission (Sun Coast) and put in a triple disc torque convert (Sun...
$46 per gallon is a good price...nowadays....around here it's $52 a gallon. About 3 years ago I was buying a gallon for 30 bucks.
I haven't been able to find the Mobil 1, so I am looking for the John Deere TES 295. Most JD places around here have the HD stuff which is a high viscosity, but I'm...
Those are purty cool but those don't fit in my openings in the bumper.
The lenses are gone, I have no clue as to where they went. One of my lenses was half way off so I just pulled it off. It' slike the glue let go or something, I really don't know.
GM parts direct has them for 100 bucks each...
Hey guys -
I took my wife's 04 2500 suburban in to get it inspected and the mechanic noticed that both fog light lens were gone! So I went home and checked my '01 3500 dually and both of my lens were also gone.
Is this a common problem? Anybody have this issue, and did you replace them with GM...
Howdy Firm!
I did some research today and tracked down the Timken part number and I know for sure that the front hub for the Suburban 2500, 2500HD, 3500HD and the Hummer all use the same Timken part number...SP580310.
Hi Fellas,
I am trying to get confirmation that the Timken hub assembly that the Duramx Store sells for the 2500HD will work for an '04 2500 Suburban (4x4)?
I am purty sure it's the same part but I would like to confirm on this.... please. Also, I am assuming the ABS brake line also fits...
Thanks!
I have located a commercial John Deere shop fairly close to me...about 30 minutes. They carry the HD SynTran which is also a TES295. I am going to see what the cost is and I hope it is NOT $50 a gallon.
Yeah, I read where Mike L doesn't push synthetic for built transmissions, something about the clutch packs, it;s been awhile since I read it.
Problem is I refuse to pay $57 a gallon for Transynd, that's just robbery! That's why I was asking about the Syn Gard from Valvoline. It too has the...
So I am looking to replenish my stock of Transynd for the Allison in my dually, and since I don't live in Evansville anymore I can't get it where I used too. So I look around the area and a Allison Service Center in Wheeling WV (about an hour away) has it in either 1 gallon or 6 gallon pale. I...
Well, no plumbing shops had the reducer in SS, but my local Grainger had exactly 1 stainless steel bushing, so I bought it for the paultry sum of $5.64... EGT down, boost to go.
Anyways, the goose neck is a bear to get to so I'll probably just "T" off the wastegate hose for boost.
I have read about T-ing the waste gate hose, but the cons of it is it's too hard to miunt it firmly...
Apparently the stubby goose neck is a very hard to get to, but the spot of choice for mounting.
Another issue with GM, it's freakin' diesel!!!! There ought to be a place already drilled and...
