Sorry for the delay. A bronchitis has crept in.
I can see why you're using so much power. Those motors must really draw the power.
Sounds like you've got that figured out to a 'T' and is working fine for you.
Thank you so much for taking your time to help me! I just need a couple more...
Bezzer wrote: royunion...I have read your posts about batteries. I don't think anyone could explain batteries as you have and all the other info you wrote.
Just a question: Why do you need all that power? I see you have a 6.5 and spare generator, parts etc.....what exactly do you have...
Beezer wrote: Wow Roy! That's a lot of good information. I'll print and read it a few more times but I can start with a couple things that your mentioned.
One the top right side of your post - shows #17....if you go back to #2 post you will see information about my batteries and load test...

Will L.- To answer the question you had on 7-23 -- My IP is a DB2. It was replaced under warranty and now has 23,350 miles on the new pump. I believe the fuel pressure is correct at 12-14psi....as I have no problem starting when engine temperature is up to normal. The problem is the 60G glow...
Will L.: I do have a clear line on the ip return hose....there are no bubbles with the engine running. After stopping there is one bubble at the top of clear hose.
Ran engine for 15 minutes - watching this clear hose - and no bubbles appeared.

Still trying to get some help with my new engine starting problem!
Here is the tests I did on the "engine start up & testing voltages" (see picture A). They all showed good on voltage.
I also included the Wal-Mart load testing results of the two batteries.

Update Fellows: After speaking to the Bosch Dealer close to home-Premco in Lampasas, Texas....(www.dieselparts.com )... He was more interested in selling me new injectors and then would charge me another $120.00 to check the flow rate.......nice person - sounded like a good place - but I...

Family owned and been in business for 50 yr. Sounds like a possibility. Probably drive there and visit the shop...and get a feel for things.
Don't know if any of you know them or used...
Still always a challenge! Sorry to hear about Tim at Accurate Diesel...I would be hesitant too!
I'm in the Austin area....and think there might be a trustworthy place to have the injectors repaired etc.. Thanks for your input!
I called Bosch and they told me why the major distributors of the injectors for the 6.5TD engine are out of stock. A representative at Bosch told me they are also out of stock and don't know when or if they will ever start producing them again.
After hearing that I went to my garage and...
Back to you guys! I decided not to mess with removing the turbo.
After getting everything prepped to start pulling the injectors...I bought the OTC 5060 socket. The passenger side is really tight to work on. After hours of messing with this side...I did get the 4 injectors loose. This is the...
OK guys! My injector socket came in and ready to move on. It's the OTC 5060 socket like the socket shown above that others have suggested.
I have not started the engine in 10 days. Do you think the fuel pressure has dissipated by now? Or should I open one of the fuel lines at one of the...
Attached is a picture of my one injector that has a space problem next to the turbo.
Anyone that's working on their injectors...can you take a measurement for me. Can you measure the injector still in the head to the top of the injector with the hard fuel line disconnected? This will help me...
Thanks everybody! I've looked at most of the things you've mentioned.

Back to you guys! I did a search and found info on 6.5TD injector removal socket. It is an injector removal socket from NAPA that I need.
Part # BK700-2470 which is no longer available.
I need a injector socket that I can only use with a 7/8" wrench.
Do any of you happen to have that socket...
