Diesel.
Those new gassers still won't burn the biodiesel that I make for ~$0.45 per gallon. :D
They aren't going to pull my 18,000 lbs toy hauler anywhere except to the scene of the crash.
And with the new HP/TQ numbers that the '11 diesel trucks are going to have, even with all the...
If you'd like to meet up with some local Dmax guys and roll in as a group, we are meeting at the Az. Mills Mall at 7am. SE corner of the mall.
You can read up on it here.
See you there.
Sorry, this logic makes no sense to me. I convert the fuel and can then run it in ANY and ALL diesels. Not only can I burn it in both my diesels, I've helped neighbors out with bio as an additive and it's been run in cummins, powerstrokes, and VW TDI's without any modifications.
Veg oil...
I'm only relaying my own experience and the experience of people I know directly along with what the dealer has told us.
I haven't yet heard of a TSB on this, but I personally know 6 friends that have had this issue. At first we thought it might be because of the bio that we all run, but...
When you changed the fuel filter, did it prime right away or did you have to pump it 'till your arm fell off. Likewise, once fuel squirted out the bleeder screw and you tighten it, did you pump it until it got hard and how long did that take?
Reason I ask is the fuel filter head assembly has...
Hey guys,
Thought some of you that didn't make it out to the Diesel Desert Nationals at speedworld would still like to see some photos.
I got some good photo's of the banks 7.77 run. You can check them out and more here.
Congrats to the banks team, that thing is amazing!
Bill,
I just caught up with this thread. Did you ever pick up a processor? I'm friends with a guy who makes custom bio processors. I have one of his that's my own personal processor and I have another smaller one in my garage right now waiting for a guy to come up with the money. It's $2500...
Phil, like Nick said, you can get the spin on allison filters for about $8. Let me know if you need it and I'll send you a link to where to get them in phoenix. Hell, in a pinch, I could get you one from my garage. I have extras, and I think you live just a couple miles from me IIRC. :)
Who brings a gasser truck to a diesel dyno event?:rolleyes5:
My wife drove up to help out with the food for a little bit and even she knew she had to drive the diesel (car).
Good to have you come out bill. ):h
Here are the photos of the event. Duramax took 2nd and 3rd, with the 1st place going to a Ford powered by a Cummins, with twins and on the bottle.

Good idea Randy, but you need to break it down a little further. The '06 LLY is NOT the same as the '04.5 - '05 LLY.
To the OP, it sounds like speedlimiter to me. If you were draining your rail (as in need a lift pump) you would be setting a low fuel rail pressure code. Any codes?
