I replaced a non working glow plug relay in my dad's CUCV with part # GRP109. The new unit works fine except that we noticed after the dash light cycles off the relay stays on for another 8-9 seconds. This is after the initial 9-10 seconds. I am worried the glow plugs will burn out from staying...

I know there are half a dozen threads on this, but I have not seen this problem. I cannot find a waterpump that is "HIGH OUTPUT" I have ordered 2 now from NAPA, and Advanced Auto Parts sells the same one, part #58-532(this is a reman). They are for a 1998, but they are identical to the stock...

Chicken is correct, got the ses light very quick upon startup without vac going to the egr solenoid.

I get a ses light if the egr solenoid loses it's vacuum source, I guess that answers my question unless someone knows how to get passed that.

my vac. pump is starting to make some noise. Am I correct that I cannot remove it without setting codes ? (I would add a TM at the same time) (egr is blocked already) no money for chip at this time.

The battery's test good. Alternator good. Tester show normal draw. I am going to unhook the battery's tonite and let it set for a couple days and rehook and see what I got.
