How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Here is the factory style kit off the jungle site. you won't need the gaskets but the hose and plugs are all pre-cut to length. https://www.amazon.com/Delphi-7135-274-Fuel-Injector-Installation/dp/B002M1D4PI

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

WOW! I haven't been on here in a few days and look at all the excitement I missed!! in a pinch, go to home depot and get the small orangish color clear tubing I forget what size it is but it's in the plumbing section. it will push on without clamps and work for a while. iirc that much flow...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Looks like it's nothing but zddp and moly mixed together. I would send a virgin sample to an oil analysis lab to see what's in it!

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

From the looks of the compression fittings on the end of the rubber hoses, I would assume the rubber has been replaced at one time or they were just cut on the one end to pull the engine out for work. I don't trust compression fittings. a few years ago I had a hydraulic hose made with...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

which side of the frame is it leaking? driver or passenger. what I noticed in your other photos was that the oil cooler lines have what looks like a compression crimped to the hoses and compression on the aluminum lines. on the other end (frame) looks like the original crimps can't tell if...

Sucked Near A Quart of Oil, Temp went to 210.

on the pics you posted I could not tell where you ground out on the pump to match the ports of the backing plate. can you post were you ground into? on that one that you said wasn't cooling well it kinda looks like the impeller is slightly out on the shaft where the others look like the shaft...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I bet the real one wouldn't leak! but I do think it's all about the filter material on how well it does. during my "experimenting" I used some oil absorbent material what we call elephant tampon which is a sheet of loose fiberglass cloth. that stuff can be laid in a puddle of water with...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

HAHA since I have been getting into 3D printers (my daughter got me into them) just bought one... I found this online! it's design is very similar to a provent 200 only it has it's own internal mesh and swirl chambers. I would be curious if I could scale it up to fit 1" hose and see how...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

on yours did the top cap separate from the inner piece? mine came detached and you have to pop the inner part with the o-ring in the housing then put on the cap. the top of that inner piece has a spring loaded relief that is supposed to push open when the internal pressure goes high but...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

on the real provent that cover on the side houses the check valve. on the CKO version I have, that cover is not removable and it's hollow in there leading to the filter. iirc that check valve is supposed to close if there is too much suction on the intake side. same as how the CDR works.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I had mine on the 93, but it's pushing so much oil out it would put a fine mist all over the engine compartment! switched to routing the hoses to a gallon paint can with some 1" fittings on the side. filled it full of stainless pot scrubbers for surface area. that seems to be helping except...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

My CKO one didn't have a check valve in it. only one it had was on the top cap in case of it over-pressurizing, but it still leaked around the cap seal. the can is not perfectly round and leaks.

    93 Truck AC Parts

I would try to not run the AC until then. with it short cycling, if low can starve the compressor of oil and cause premature failure.

    93 Truck AC Parts

That seem to be cycling very fast! curious as to what your pressures are doing. might be a tad low on 134A.

    OH NO, ANOTHER THERMOSTAT PAGE

Mine is a single stat setup and has a 180 installed. I have gotten it up to almost 200 running over 70 on the freeway in the summer time here. IDK what temp stat the 93 has in it, but both trucks temp gauges will climb rather quickly when accelerating up hill. both trucks have the factory...

    6.5TD motorhome starting problem

Yeah for 96+ would require someone like Quadstar to program it for you. you'd have to sent the PCM in to have it done or purchase one already setup and send your old one in as a core.

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

There is a test you can do to see how much parifin wax is in the oil along with how much evaporates with high temps. get you a hot plate and a glass container like disposable coffee erns. heat the fresh oil up to what the temps would be in your engine, hold it there and watch... let it cool...
