Do keys make the ride rougher? I rode in a buddies truck with cranked t bars and didnt care for the ride. I dont really want to sacrifice the ride quality if I dont have to. I can get the keys and shock extenders for $150 and I wont have the money for a Cognito for a year or so when my car is...
I'm wanting to get a leveling kit for my truck but I dont have the money for a Cognito kit right now. So like the title says what are the drawbacks to keys instead of a cognito kit?
Heard today that Craftsman no longer has the lifetime warranty. Dont know how true that is, but I mentioned replacing a tool at work today and someone told me that. Snap-on, MATCO, and Proto are all great tools.
Just bought 4 new tires and got them mounted. Bought a sheet of aluminum and cut it to replace the fender and will try again next weekend. Hoping for a little better luck this time.
My dads 05 has been in the shop 3 times for turbo problems. I think the biggest problem there is the mechanic not finding the real problem the first 2 times. They keep cleaning the turbo and sending it back to him.
My spare blew out this weekend and it was never used and under a cover since new. It made it about 20 miles before it blew and tore the fender off my trailer.
I wish I could have got a picture of my dad pulling his trailer home with my truck. He is a Ford fan and his truck that left him on the road was a Powerstroke. Either way I still get to harass him about it.
I forgot to mention it rained Saturday evening so we couldn't grill the steaks we took with us.
To top it all off we just found out that my wifes German Sheppard that was at her parents house died this weekend. We had just picked up a lab pup on Thursday and took him with us this weekend. We...
I finally just got home from a weekend camping trip where everything that could go wrong did go wrong. We left on Friday morning to pick up our camper at my parents, they were meting us there with their camper. Half way there my dad called to tell me his truck broke down and they were limping...
I've had to do the same thing. The last ones I bought were a little big, but once I filed the paint off they fit fine. I dont think they take the added thickness of the paint into account.
Tried a good cleaning and hairspray and it happened again tonight. This time with no load and on a fairly flat stretch of road doing about 35mph. Any ideas for underlying causes? Could it be over boost, wastegate, anything? The clamp is practically new, the first one broke last fall and the...
My dad has an 05 Powerstroke 6.0 that has had very few problems except for a blown turbo at 20,000 miles. On a camping trip last summer the band clamp that holds the intake boot on the turbo broke, he replaced it and did not have any problems with it until last week. He was pulling his 8,000lb...
Well I skipped out on the Massey because I figured I would out grow it pretty quick with such a small frame and low horsepower. After looking at about 5-6 other models I decided to go with a Kubota L3400. This is my first tractor and I should have it in the next couple of days. Right now I'm...
My dad has an 05 6.0 and the only problem he has had was the turbo went out at about 12,000 miles. Ford replaced the turbo and he has not had any other problems. It currently has about 50,000 miles on it. A friend of mine bought the exact same truck with all the same options and has about...
My wife called from the shop and said it turned out to be a bad MAF sensor and a problem with a valve or sensor on the turbo. She could not remember what the mechanic told her. They kept my truck until the parts get there tomorrow. hopefully this will take care of everything.
Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow why it limped on me. The CEL came on about 10 miles before it limped. I didnt have any power loss until I stopped at the end of the exit ramp.
