    G80 is removed and Yukon limited slip is in its place. All new carrier and pinion bearings plus pinion seal of course. Backlash set at .006 with the original 3.73 gears. I’ll do the wheel bearings and seals after paint.

    I think it was taken care of pretty well. I had to replace a floor pan and a cab corner, and one of the fenders is a bit rusty, but overall it’s pretty solid. It has a dealership tag on the tailgate from a local dealership, so I’m pretty sure it’s been around here its whole life.

    Finally got the front suspension all together. To finish the front diff I had to buy a new adjuster and tool for tightening it. I tried removing the driver side adjuster with a hammer and drift punch. That didn’t go well - it mushroomed the tabs so they dug into the bore of the diff housing. I...

    Last night the truck left the property for the first time in 5 years. My brother did an alignment today. The numbers look good. He played with the camber to compensate for road crown and said it drives down the road really nice. “Really tight” he called it….it better with all the new parts...
