Well a few hundred miles later including some firewood hauling, up a mountain, I love this setup. I'm not at all sure what happened but at first my clutch pedal throw was extremely stiff. To the point that my linkage got bent all out of shape. Eventually it stopped releasing the clutch and got...
Oh yeah just not up any kinda grade. And that .7 extra in first is a whole lotta fun!!
I even went to a piece of all-thread to get more throw out of the clutch, no luck. Its getting better the more I run it, so either it'll be toast in a week or it'll be fine haha!
Not sure exactly what you mean it has manual linkage, fork and bearing from a 77 k10. I took her for a short drive on the interstate today, went great, 75 is a whoppin 1700 rpms!
Well got the T5 put in today. It a PITA to say the least. Took all my free time over 2 days at work!! But I have all 5 gears!! I did not however have the flywheel that I bought at a junkyard resurfaced. I believe this is causing my new problem. It seems that the clutch won't fully disengage. At...
Don't think I said it ate the torque converter couple weeks ago, since then shes been goin downhill. But I went junkyard shoppin today and now have eveerything but a clutch, it is special order and won't be in for a week. I got the manual linkage so thats gonna be fun, looks to me like the...
Well I am just a problem magnet. My mom used my truck today to move some stuff it was a little over 100 degrees today and I live at about 4500 feet above sea level in MT and my motor was about 10.7 to 1 compression. I now have no vacuum while cranking bum bum bum. 4th gear will have to wait...
No, I believe my throttle is stock I think the valve body was stock. Just a rebuild with a, I think, Jet brand servo. I have done a little more driving and I have 1,2, and 3 in O.D. position. Don't know why but I'll take it! Since I now have all gears but fourth I will once again give a little...
I pulled the valve body changed the 3-4 relay, 4-3 sequence valve, and spring out with the ones from the old trans moved freely no obstructions. I did changed valve body gaskets and checkball locations for the B&M kit and it hasn't dropped out of gear yet, I've only driven a few miles though...
I took the governor out everything looks good, valve inside moves when I move the weights. I also took the servo off and found that the inside of the servo cover had never been touched with ATF is this normal?
Yes I've had the vavle body off the new one checked the valves that I had diagrams for. I will check the governor.
I have a buddy that took his new 700r4 in to have the output shaft changed so he could run a 205 t.c. it was over $700. thats some bullstuff.
