Nice post Tank...
So many don't understand what those trailer tires can really handle. I constantly am passed by something wearing ST tires and they're flying. I just want to get away from them so they don't take me out.
I have also read a few RV forums as that is one of my passions...and tires are rarely a success story. They get abused terribly just from the application.
In spite of what I have read, this time around I went with the Goodyear Marathons (at their suggestion) and am now entering my third year...
I do the same as Marty...we have a Holiday station close to home that has an area for the big boys to fill up. Huge turnover in fuel, so I have no worries there.
What freaks me out is when we pull the RV to points unknown and I can't find a truck stop. Filling at the only station in town just...
Yup - that's what I've got too this time around...the national warranty is what sucked me in. Now it's their problem as long as I don't overload the tires.
This hard start issue is related to the unit storing heat and producing a high compressor surge when it kicks in again. I was just going through this with my buddie last weekend and found an interesting read about it:

ST tires = Special Trailer tires.
They have beefed up sidewalls to withstand the sidewall torque when turning, especially backing. They take some real punishment. The downside is the speed limitation of 65 - it's stamped right on the sidewall.
I can't tell you how many rigs I see passing me...
As far as the speed issue...a person can either slow down with the ST's or get another tire that isn't an ST. Some RV'ers are doing this to avoid trashing the ST tires and collateral damage to their RV. At 65 or so the tires crown and the treads start to overheat and blow out.
Those ST tires...
You do realize ST tires are only rated for 65 mph?? I didn't until I began having tires issues with my RV trailer...found out the hard way three sets later. Load rating E in a 15" is gonna give you fits trying to find one. Especially one American made.
Same here...used it with the longer antenna and it broadcasts very well within a short distance of the house. My netbook/notebooks pick up a good signal everywhere in the home and just a little outside. My RV is parked next to the garage, and inside that I need to use a stronger antenna to pick...
That's surprising coming from a Canadian...many think our stuff is nasty.
I have found a new love for the micro breweries. Hard to find, but now and then you find a gooden.
We just got back from a 10 day week in the woods at our lake property. Unexpected, but got a break in the action from work...
I have used it without fail since I bought my truck. I did learn the hard way about keeping the bottle in my truck during winter. Warm it before using or you'll likely be on the side of the road pulling your filter...
It's funny how something with anti-gel properties will turn to slush in the...
