My front cover just went on (boo - winter)...and I have the topper on year round as I use the heck out of that space for RV supplies and a few tools for work. They stay dry and are locked up behind a heavy tint that is near impossible to see into.
Nice on the removal tool...
That one should get a bit of use...I really don't like resource hogs and they used to be one of the worst. Not sure if they have improved at all.
I make a big pot of glorified turkey veggie soup with barley and all kinds of veggies...then share it with various family members.
...and I'd like your recipe too Pep...always looking for something different to try.
Sounds like a new thread to me...
Our large gatherings are getting much smaller. All the kiddies from our brothers and sisters are growing up and spending time with the next generation of families. Tis a part of growing up...it gets quieter...both good and bad I guess.
I am spending the day with our youngest daughter, who is...
Welcome aboard!
You'll find this an easy place to hang out, so make yourself at home.
It sounds like you have the newer style (with regen)...I have the 2007 Classic Chevy...so I'm not so familiar with your emissions.
Did it throw a code? An error (something lit up) on the dash?
I went to...
Surly Bender is going down really good for me lately. It is a local brew made in Minnesota...dark, loads of flavor, and quietly building a very strong following.
It will be national before too long.
I'm becoming a beer snob...sorry...but I like different and unique beers that is a treat for me.
Thanks Max...I did attempt to try the 9006 low beams...almost got it. I tried modding the tabs, but still can't get it in there.
I have seen some H10's that have the colored cap like the low beams in 55w in yellow...it is the only one I've seen.
I'm a little hesitant to throw too much power in...
I'm sure some here have been looking harder than I for a fog lamp solution. I have been trying to research if the 9140 (sticker on my stock bulb) is the same as an H11 or the H10. Different sources are telling me different things.
I haven't been able to find a good site to find out for sure.
Wouldn't it make for sense to have darker rather than more powerful?
The darker color penetrates the fog better, where the brighter bulb would just blind you. Again, some of this comes into play as far as the focus ability of the housing and the bulbs ability to use it.
When I learned that the warranty on some parts was up at 36k I figured this was my shot to get what I could.
I had no idea about the steering shaft bushing, but it feels great now.
Maybe they actually came up with a way to fix it.
Thank you for the offer James...those are the darkest I've seen so far.
If they could be found, darker yet would be more desireable to match the drl's like Nick's pic shows...
I got the amber drl's as well as the turns...love 'em. I got the ones with the blue tint on the bulb and they look great when the truck is not running too.
I believe those are the ones I just burned out Pepp...couldn't remember where I got them, but that must've been it. When the fog sets in around here it's brutal...gotta get this dialled in and I want a focused beam so it doesn't spill upward.
I agree with Nick too...I would like the darker...
My amber bulbs I bought last year are taking a dump...time for replacements.
9005's and 9006's will fit, I can find yellow, but I am curious how this is viewed...
The low beam bulbs have the cap on the tip - to reflect back into the housing? The high beam bulbs don't and are free to scatter...
Ahh...all is well now. Took it into the dealership and next thing you know they had run to get the parts and had it torn down. The downside is I wasn't prepared for them to do the work today, so I got to wait. Nothing like killing time at a KMart...
Three tranny lines, a steering shaft and...
You'll notice no other members here are talking down DP...we've been down that road before and don't care much for it anymore.
A big thank you goes out to our membership for not biting...
I think we're finally turning the corner. :D
She goes in first thing Sat morning for a look. I will be sure to ask if they have improved those lines at all from the leakers they are currently using.
This time around is on their dime...but...how long are those line warrantied once they replace them? I'll be past the 36k before too long.
If...
Thank you Justin...you're a good man Charlie Brown.
It looks like two lines are leaking, so it's gonna have to go in during the week and spend the day at the doc. I was able to line up another truck so I won't miss any work.
