Ordered some Stanadyne a few days ago...he jumped all over it, receipts, tracking, etc. Arrived in a timely fashion and a professional experience all the way...will do business again...
I took the dash apart to make sure of what I had...to check the plugs and such. Turns out I can get the hardwired solution for less than 40 bucks delivered. Then, I also have the Bluetooth receiver enroute, which will allow me hands free for the phone or netbook use.
...really don't like all...
LOL...yeah, once you get the feel it's hard to go back. I returned mine to stock last year for some last opportunity warranty work and it was the toughest week I've had the truck.
Sorry to hear about the delay Rich...but it's still looking sweet.
How long 'till she's breathing fire?? It's looking close, but you've got that sucker tore down to the nubs...
I'll be trying out a Bluetooth receiver too...got that on order. I can move it between the truck and rv for service in both units wirelessly. No wires to contend with if I actually want to use it as a phone...):h
I've got a new Droid with streaming internet radio that seems to be putting everyone else in the truck out of business...used to use the player in my gps on trips, but this is so easy.
Ahh...so this one goes on the antenna line...that system has been around for a while. This system still works good?
I was thinking since the head unit has an AUX on it must be good for something. Of course the manual doesn't say squat about it.
Edit: Thanks BJ...I'm thinking this might be on...
Is there some kind of harness or something that can add a 1/8 plug to play devices over the stereo? If my truck has one, dammed if I can find it...then I wouldn't have to use an FM transmitter.
Man, that's purdy...where's that drool smiley...
I'm really getting into the details coming out in this thread. You doing all that work plus taking the time to share with us here is much appreciated...I know I'm looking forward to the updates...
I wonder how Semichrome holds up to all the newer products. That was all I used back in the day with my custom bike. Took some elbow grease, but it worked well and laid down a protectant film too.
Ahh...crap...I don't think it would work on castings...maybe with a wheel.
The tomato has me...
That sure looks better than mine...thanks for the reminder...
Funny how a need finally gets a person motivated. One thing, then another, and all of a sudden it's a birds nest.
