LOL...that's how I got my diesel...took my wife down to Branson pulling the rv with the gasser. The hills had me down to first gear and screaming for mercy. Wifey got so shook up thinking we wouldn't make it she agreed to the diesel right off.
Two weeks later I had it at home...
Have a great time Paul...fall is our favorite time of year to RV. No need for air conditioning, campfires actually feel good, leaves changing, etc.
Up here we are talking about how many weekends we have left before pickling the RV for winter...sniff...
.
Mileage drops like a rock towing over 60...my LBZ tows our RV at about 12-12.5 at 62 unless it's windy.
You may want to refresh your Dad's driving habits - many of these trailers have ST tires...max speed of 65. Anyone exceeding that is running a VERY high risk of blowing those tires out. Been...
I'll let you know what I think of it once it's installed, but it isn't rocket science. It's supposed to be quiet, and this model is made by the same folks that make the RV frames...they ought to know what it takes. When our trailer was new, I cranked it ONCE by hand...that was enough for...
That was the area I was thinking too...I found a 12,500 winch and I was wondering if it was enough. I don't plan on getting stuck ever...LOL, but up at the lake when it rains all bets are off. It is a long hill, gets greasy, and lots of trees all over the place. The truck just about moves, but...
Ok...we have an update...long story involving a couple of letters, but I ended up with a complete set of new rubber...same tires, sizing, etc. Now that I have the new set I am REALLY wanting to cure this tire rub before I trash the insides of these (I do have steering stops, but the tires hit...
I had the pleasure of digging a rut up at the lake last holiday weekend with my truck and rv in tow. It had rained all night and the ground was greasy...and uphill doesn't work real well. I ended up with Good Sam Emergency Road Service sending a tow with a winch out and he drug the whole works...
Heh...I know a guy that can remodel those cabinet openings to hang lcd tv's from arms too.
Those older tv's weigh a ton compared to the lcd's. When you're ready to consider that give me a shout.
I'll dig up some pics for you and walk you through it.
Very nice! I'd be putting a power tongue jack on first thing...these shoulders need all the power assistance they can get.

As it happens, I just ordered this to replace mine that just burnt out. This is the best price I've found.
Nice! Welcome to being an RV'er...we love it and go as often as we can.
You'll like being able to close off that toilet. It's pretty hard to squeeze one of with someone on the other side of a curtain.
