It was out of an 02 Silverado I don't have the vin or engine code right now. Do you by anychance have any pics of how you oil pressure sensor is set up? I'm slightly confused with the adapter portion.
So for anybody that is interested in doing an SAS swap on their 88-98 Tahoe/burban/Silverado; I highly suggest the off road design kit. The entire kit is completly bolt on. No welding or fabrication at all just drilling holes. It includes all the hardware needed to install it other than the...
The guys over at transfercase express are extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. There's 2 locations back easy in north Carolina I think and Oakland California. The way they delivered and built the case it's completely drop in ready just at fluids. For the guys with 02 and up trucks they...
The first pics were after I got the frame just moch up and paint. The last was with the leaf spring and brackets all bolted up. I towed it out to a frame shop to have it straightened..
Alrighty then. Well the give a little info I'm building the truck from the ground up literally... I searched for 2 months to find a crew cab short bed. I finally found one. Then I bought a cab that was in great shape minus a little impact from the bed(it was rear ended). I'm not doing just a...
So I'm doing a dmax swap and had my harness sent out and converted to stand alone. My.question is does anyone know how or where I can tap into the water temp and oil pressure to run my factory 96 gauges? For water temp can I run an older style sensor Off a 454 pr something? And I'd like to stay...
So I finally figured out how to repost to this thread. I'm not sure if anyone is still interested but I am still building a Duramax swapped 88-98 Silverado. Though the platform has changed from the original start of this thread. The engine is now going into a crew cab short bed 2500. I decided...
Ya I had the harness sent out and converted to stand alone( I'm not too.savvy on electrical) I had them delete the egr and air grid heater from the ecu. I know the one line goes from/to the heater but do you know if I'm.safe to plug it off?
Hey guys how you doing. It's been a long time since my last post in the forum. But I need some help and reassurance. I'm looking to delete all the egr related equipment. I've already cut off and welded upthe egr tube on the up pipe. And I'm getting the wehrli fabrication bride due to me being on...
so i got my new downpipe today. i bought the MBRP. it has a pretty beasty flange frm the turbo and a nice wide opening. i didnt like the diamond eye because it looked too restrictive at the flange side. all and all im really happy with the quality and welds on it. i was pretty scheptical...
hey ferm from looking at the position of the dmax in the engine bay of your burban, if the engine was set farther back roughly 2 or 3 inches and down 1-2 inches do u think it would clear LLY or later or aftermarket exhaust manifolds to the steering shaft?
the axle would be an easy swap and the duramax wouldnt have to be moved after. i just dont like the stock crossmember and ifs tabs all over the place. if im cutting it out in the near furture anyway why not just chop it out now and make the crossmembetr that i want. thats what i was thinking...
So i have a question for all of u. Well more in need of input or opinions. i have this king pin dana 60 sitting here i was planning on doing after the duramax swap was complete. but ive been kicking around the idea of starting the 60 swap now and cutting out the stock crosmember and mounts for...
Very Carefully! Just kinda have to make it work haha. its the only place were there was enough room to fit bot my trucks and not have to worry about parking arrangments. but ya.. Dirt and cherry pickers dont mix well. wen i was manuvering the detriot with the trans and tcase still attached it...
