I'll follow the ground wire for the blower and see where it goes. Don't know about the ground heating up but the red hot wire showed definite signs of heating to the point I was considering replacing a chunk before I buttoned everything back up.

Haven't added any grounds other than a battery to fender that was missing. I don't like the looks of the braided firewall to frame and block to firewall. Will replace them and add one from battery to rear stud.

What component does the wire going to that ground go to? I pulled the PCM box out and can't find it. Looking through the glove box the heater box goes up to the top of the dash and over to the passenger side wall. Unfortunately I probably did have a 57 in the first mass of codes where I thought...

Grounds in the engine bay have been cleaned. Location of the passenger firewall ground. What's the dead ECM code # just for reference?

Following the correct diagram. I have a complete circuit from the ignition switch through the wiring in the PCM plug. If the Dk Blu/White wire is connected to ground the solenoid functions correctly. The PCM is not properly actuating the solenoid.

I don't know what vehicle's wiring harness Mitchell used for a 95 C1500 but the only wire the correct color in the correct place was the DK Blu/White going to C16. According to the published wiring diagram where I didn't have a signal was between the PCM and plug at the FFM. I checked the in...

There is only 1 bk blu/white wire into plug and there is power there. There is no power on 1 line after the split so the bad spot is between where the junction of the 2 dk blu/white wires and PCM.

The IP harness goes underneath the intake manifold to the big plug that attaches to the FFM bracket. Would you think the breakout would be ~11cm from the plug, 11cm from where the plug wires branch from the main bundle, or 11cm from where they go through the firewall? I'm trying to minimize...

Just checked the wiring diagram in Mitchell again. It shows the wire coming from the fuel shutoff solenoid splitting and going to C16 and D15. Also states the split occurs ( Eng Harness, apprx 11cm from I/P harness breakout) Is the IP harness breakout the big plug or where it goes through the...

Have 12.4V on pin C16. Going to ground with that pin will activate solenoid. Nothing on D15. Need to look at wiring diagram again to verify.

Are the fuel shut off solenoid wires going to the big plug at the back of the block or one of the smaller ones?

Have 12.? at the solenoid. I'm assuming I should check pins C16 and D15 dkblu/white where the enter the ECM. How would you suggest checking resistance? The distance between the 2 ends is well over the length of my multimeter cables.

Prior to today I had checked voltage coming in to the fuel shutoff solenoid and swapped solenoids. Today I bench checked both solenoids and they functioned properly and checked incoming voltage. Plugged one into the wiring harness and turned key and solenoid would not activate. Pulled up the...

I put a 8-10" piece of line between IP and tube so it forms an arch. With all the cranking I've done I've only gotten about 3" of fuel in the line. Do you happen to know the thread pitch for the Fuel Solenoid?

Have not done this but have a clear line between IP and return tube. Not getting much fuel there but according to DieselPro this isn't a problem. Early on I had voltage to the fuel solenoid, didn't check after I determined no fuel being injected. Haven't checked the solenoid but have swapped...

I'd swapped the fuel solenoid that was in this truck for one off of the old pump from the K3500. Swapped the original fuel solenoid back and still no fuel. Checked the drain and pump is still working.
