    Hauled some wood today.

That would have made some nice campfires. I had a couple of good loads in mine last summer. None as big as those.

    which exhaust is everyone running?

5" MBRP w/6" tip. Kitty is on vacation. Thinking of going straight pipe at some point. The neighbors hate it anyway. I love driving w/the windows down to hear the turbo bounce off cars. Idle sounds great too when the vanes switch positions.

Half ton Ford tow trucks are a bad idea

A friend had a 1980 2wd w/the 300 Six and a 4 speed. The box was so flimsy I could squeeze the bedrail area. The suspension was so soft we could bounce it off the ground w/two people.:D That tow truck has a better breakover angle now. Just need to put a carrier bearing in the rear...

gm hd wheels on a trailer

I have thought about doing it w/the PYO's. Now that I have the NBS 17's on my 2005, I thought those would be better if I can find suitable tires.

Unfortunately the 76 is 2WD. Although, I do have enough parts to change it to 4WD w/either a Chevy D60 or Ford D60. My brother has a 84 GMC K35 454/400 and his father in law has an 83 Chevy w/a 454/465. Brother keeps talking about pulling he 454 out an dropping in a Small...

From converted BB guy. I had a 93 K3500 w/a NV4500. Sold it after I got the Duramax CC. I still own 76 GMC 3/4 w/a 454/400 and enough parts to put another one together.

    How do you like DieselHaulin.com?

I like it. Great place to share information w/o the attitude. I get tired of the "my wanker is bigger than yours" on some of the other places. I am come to sites to learn and hopefully share what little knowlege I have amassed over the yrs.

    Where to camp?

I might have to take you up on that next yr. We usually go close to home on the weekends because of getting out of work late. We spent a few weekends at Prairie Flower @ Saylorville Lake North of Des Moines. A lot of space between camp sites. I would rank it a solid 8+.

    New Guy from IA

Hello. Just found the site. I have a 2005 CCLB K3500. It is my DD and tow vehicle for our travel trailer. For now we have a '94 Mallard 29'. Been looking at 5th wheels for someday down the road. Love the performance of the Duramax. I have a hard time tracking fuel mileage because I can't...
