Dang Walt never learns. I think it's freaking hilarious how he likes to stick the little made in USA stickers on everything but the majority of the stuff he sells like this is White Box Chinese garbage. Thanks for posting this up, expected lack of quality of SS Diesel Supply, I hate that sob.
Find a lighter truck for starters. A K2500 isn't very light at all, even a single-cab.
I'm not so sure on the DS4's ability to do anything more than 80mm3 of fuel, especially in a 1994 with OBD-I. Not so sure on the OBD-II stuff, as I don't have the programming to modify and access that yet...
Thanks Chris!
We're working with Both the DB2 and DB4 pumps. These things are pricey but do put out the fuel when modified. There is more to come, doing some testing on yet another pump mod.
I'd like to branch out and offer in-house modding of 6.2/6.5 trucks. Any modification can be installed...
I was just thinking it's been awhile since there was an update, and I'm curious how he knows they're bent (like the pan has ben off, etc.).
Stock C/R with high boost and horribly high timing advance, just curious...
If we need em more better rods, let's know.
I'd look at a Holset for use on the Banks Manifold in an 80's truck. The only thing you'll need is a 1/2" T3 spacer on the manifold where the turbo bolts just to give you a little more room between the compressor housing on the turbo and the alternator, also allows proper alignment with the oil...
Wish I'd seen this post before now.
Since the heads have been off for gaskets, and the bolts were not replaced. New head bolts have a special sealant on the threads and under the heads of the bolts to keep coolant out of the oil. The threads go into coolant on these engines.
I'd wager highly...
Going to try a T4 S366 (66/71/90) over T3 S357G (57/65/14), but building the setup where a T4 S472 (72/74/1.00) would bolt in place of the T4 S366 if I found it necessary.
Good CC numbers 6.2.
You've got nearly 35cc on me. Mines @125 at 2000 Engine RPM, and as mentioned the 101cc to 5500. But, this thing has all the driveability manners as a stock one.
What did you do to the metering valve? I've got another pump that's nearly new I'd like to mod, this pump...
Um, wrong math there bud. You're not helping here one IOTA, I'm not going to banter back and forth with you. I'll talk to someone who does this for a living and knows his stuff. Not getting that from you.
Buddy,
I'll get back to this C/R and injector pop pressure thing. My machinist and I gotta bump heads on this one, not sure If I follow your math there.
Basically the 17.1 engine at my altitude (3800 ft) at full boost (35 psi) is around 58:1. To get PSI for that amount of compression you...
I've said it before, and I'll say it again until people start to believe me. Bills 500HP claim is complete B.S. Period. I'm working on a way to prove it. He ain't got the backup. Ever see any dyno results, exactly...
I think your rod issue is clearance related. Galling in the cylinder is both...
One thing caught my attention, that's out of order here. The air pressure in the cylinder when it starts to spray is only 325psi. An 18:1 engine makes 350psi of static compression. Should be good to go at 2100.
Couple of timing meters. I have the lumy probe version Snap On, I also have the injector line clamp-on style that you use a timing light with. I usually use the lumy probe one because I'm not 100% the timing tab on the front of the engine is accurate.
Yes, .330" plunger pump. Trying to get...
buddy,
Next time I crank it up I've got a some tasks... Two are on your list.
Drive pressure, going to answer that one, installing yet another gauge
Timing, I need to re-verify where I'm at, doesn't seem like too much advance though, got the meter might as well use it.
I also went...
