Long, slow build of my truck

I definitely wouldn't say that haha. He's put 100k+ on his Nv4500 first gen in the last 5 years.. definitely knows how to drive. I think he was in 5th.

Long, slow build of my truck

Haven't done much to the truck lately. KOJO ecm is on its way. Asked for something hot, fast, and safe. We will see what we get, and how it compares to Heath's HX35 program. On a side note, ran a buddy last week in his 06 3500 5.9 6 speed. 325hp HO engine, and he couldn't pull on me during a...

Long, slow build of my truck

Finished up the installation of the light bar today. Harder than it had to be but I am mostly to blame for that haha. I need to aim it a little higher, right now its actually lower than my low beams, but boy oh boy is it bright. The bar I got is a 20" spot/flood combo. Its about 65% spot, 35%...

Making a tube header for the turbo side

Going to run a trans controller when you convert to DB2 or....?

Making a tube header for the turbo side

I vote for the turbo upgrade. Its gonna be many moons before someone builds another header, but lots of people have CKO's and would benefit from knowing what upgraded wheels will get them.

Long, slow build of my truck

Yep, gonna look into a couple sump options. Most likely gonna go with a Beans Diesel kit. Reasonably priced and excellent quality. I noticed the Raptor came with its own harness. Have to check it out a bit more closely, but its definitely a complete kit! Very happy with how everything looks. For...

Long, slow build of my truck

In other exciting news, the Raptor 100 showed up today! 1/2" hose... thats some big boy territory. Uncharted waters for my truck. Time to go big or go home! Lol. Thank you Leroy for excellent service as always, highly recommended folks. Also, here is the reason I picked up the spare grille...

Long, slow build of my truck

Correct. So I'm gonna look for a 30ish micron with drain as my primary and 5ish as my secondary Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Long, slow build of my truck

The Cummins adapter is a 7/8-14 thread, the Napa one that I am currently planning on using as a primary filter is 1" pipe thread IIRC

Long, slow build of my truck

Question about the fuel filter allocation.. I am finding in my initial searches that I may be slightly limited on my choice of filters to fit the Cummins adapter. I was planning on having the secondary filter being the water separator. What I am finding shows me that it might be more likely...

Long, slow build of my truck

I already purchased a filter base and filter from Napa, I think the filter is 12-15 micron but I can check. So 30 micron for a prefilter, what micron rating should I use for the secondary filter?

Long, slow build of my truck

Made a little progress tonight getting the secondary fuel filter mounted in place. Pretty straightforward. Took a couple pieces of angle and made a T, drilled holes for the mounting flange, and welded to the factory rad hose support bracket. It sits right where I want it, and the hood even...

Long, slow build of my truck

Payment sent Leroy, thanks as usual! Went out to the local Parker store today to pick up fittings for my secondary lift pump setup. Here are some pictures. The filter adapter has been reversed 180 from the mounting flange, so the direction of flow arrow on the flange is now incorrect. 1/2"...

Long, slow build of my truck

It's amazing what a dirty air filter will do. Moving on (lol) hope to mock up some of the fuel stuff this weekend, should be receiving an invoice from Leroy shortly for the Raptor. Looking forward to getting that on. FRC10 is good for stock trucks, but I can peg the gauge at 0 on a WOT run...
