    Pseudo-Resto 96 K-1500…Um, when was this a good idea?

Its exciting to see you working on her again Paul. It will be nice to see your truck make it back to road duty. :) Matt

Fantastic idea on the pipe Nate, that was a great idea! If they did as good a job on the inside of the pump as they did on the outside, you should be good. :) Eagerly awaiting the results. :D Matt

    Rebuild Time

Thats a fine looking 6.5, and true to its Detroit Diesel heritage. :) Now you just got to try and keep it from leaking from every seal, like all the diesels that came from the factory in that color, unless of course your really going for a legitimate Detroit Diesel look. :D Matt

It was that study that got me to using marine 2 stroke oil in my tank. 1/2 qt per tank, and its very economical. :) Matt

    A military rebuilt 6.5

Well, at least you know the engine is fine. My previous injectors before installing my Bosch Germany 311 rebuilts (2250 pop) were a set of brand new Bosch India NA spec injectors. It idled just a little rough, but once you were off idle the engine ran perfect, and even with NA spec, they always...

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

Yep, I like the old garden tractors, and was very close to owning an old 16 hp Sears Roper not to long ago, but it didn't pan out, as the owner was a flake. I currently have a Wheel Horse C-160, and B-80. A Case 222, and a 444, and a 1952 Bantam 3000 that I gave to my son. Its a fun hobby, but...

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

Thanks Nate, I've always loved the old iron. As for the wheelie, I was just acting the fool, which I'm known to do every once in awhile. :D Matt

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

I've only recently started collecting the larger hit n miss type engines, but I would like to get an old buzz saw, or pump jack to run with them. I have a relatively large (50+) collection of air cooled 30's-50's engines, and one of them (42 Briggs WI), powers my old bench grinder here at the...

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

I really like the old Lister Diesels, and would like to add one to my collection someday, but they still command a pretty high price even today. Thanks Leroy, and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing your engine running. :) Matt

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

Yep, I like red, and it just so happens, that was the factory color for this IH. :D It was rather strange to see the oil level not dropping at all after the head work. I guess, it was either the guides, or all those WOT high boost runs leading up to my blown head gasket finally seated the...

Running Too Much Boost, And Blew A Head Gasket.

I figured it was about time to give an update on the truck since installing the new heads, etc.. I've puts just a little over 3000 miles on the truck in the last 2 months, and the coolant level has never budged, its always full, the engine isn't leaking from anywhere, and the oil level is...

    A military rebuilt 6.5

Thats great news Nate! My truck always had just a bit of a shake at idle after the rebuild. It wasn't bad, just a slight shake. It was gone after installing my custom DB2, and balanced high pop injectors. After that, I just assumed I must of had one injector popping a little early. I can't wait...

Back when I was going to paint mine, I was split between DD green, and red. I ended up going with red because I already had a gallon in stock, but I've always liked DD green. Matt
