    Starting Over 93 C3500 18:1

I have the electro viscous fan clutch and the Duramax plastic fan. I am also currently using the FlowKooler pump and a 190 degree thermostat. The pump may get changed to the GM unit as well. I have thermocouples in the back of both heads and they were staying right around 200 degrees, 205-208...

    Starting Over 93 C3500 18:1

Another quick update. I replaced the original rear spring bushings with urethane. Got the fender flares on the bed and the bed mounted. Changed the rear gears back to the original gearing of 4.10 from the 3.42 I had installed before. Been driving it more often. I lowered this when I...

One on each side circled in yellow on this picture. Clearly the block is upside down. I'm not even sure you can get to them with the motor installed in the truck. The motor mounts may be in the way.

Long live the GMT400!! I wouldn't want to pay for a newer truck to replace what I have.

Looking for Marker Lamp Retainers and Late 93 or 94 Blower Motor Wiring Harness

Looking for a couple parts. First things are the marker light retainers for the 92-93 trucks that hold the marker light to the grill. I need at least 3. Pictured below The other thing I need is the 4 speed blower control wiring and relays that are on the late 93 and 94 trucks. I'm not...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Nothing wrong with them. Took a short vacation and pulled a brick shaped camper for 4 hours. I wanted to give the 6.5 a little easier time doing it. As far as gear swaps go, its pretty easy. This is the second time I have done it on this truck. Most of my gear swap and setup experience is with...

Has anybody tried glass lensed headlights for 94 to 99 GMT400's ?

I have the glass lens style headlights. I bought them from LMC several years ago. I have not had any fitment issues with the grill. Certainly, I am not thrilled with the quality of the plastic that the brackets are made of. Its a little flimsy compared to the OE stuff. Fortunately, I have not...

    Garage doors, openers, ETC

I have the same size door and the same opener. My bar jumps a little, but not terrible. Are the springs for the door set correctly? The door should have a neutral weight if you lift it by hand. It should stay where you put it and not fall.

    Flow Cooler Opinions Needed.

I will step in and say that I have a FlowCooler pump installed on my 18:1. I don't really have anything to compare it to. I have always run the 4 bolt pumps before this because that's what my fan was and I wasn't aware of a better pump at the time. I had never had cooling issues with this truck...

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

I feel for you my friend. I have had similar situations happen. Not much worse than when you feel like you have double checked everything and installed good parts just to have a failure. Was it braided stainless hose you were using? I have used Summit and Jegs brand braided hoses and ends for...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

This is clearly well over what the truck is rated for. I'm not criticizing. I'm more curious if what its like to pull something so far over a trucks rating. I feel like I would need to take some extra underwear with me.

    Pressure Washers

I have a 3000 psi unit with a Honda engine. I just finished power washing the house for paint and cleaned gutters and concrete. With a turbo style tip it will strip about anything off of anything. I'm not sure what 4000 psi would be like. Might be a little harder to hold on to. I agree with...

What is the filter particle size rating? I looked back and didn't see it. (Edit) I saw in another thread that its a filter for coolant. Usually when I see a filter on the coolant side of things its a screen like the little one you had, but with a bowl type body. If you know what I mean. Paper...

    I need air condition help

400 psi would definitely push the orifice tube down in there. Its weird that your lines were bent that way. I know I always have to tweak my low side line from the condenser to get it on and off. I got in the habit of following the flow and attaching the lines accordingly. Which is how you...

    A/C questions

If the its the compressor seals that are leaking it can be resealed. I watched this video, ordered a seal kit and did it myself.

I know exactly what you mean. 🤣 No A/C = no way

    I need air condition help

The "orifice" in the orifice tube is brass, or at least the standard ones I have looked at are. I doubt you did anything to crush it. I wouldn't go without an o-ring, that is essentially a leak that bypasses the orifice that you are trying to pass through. I would try a thinner o-ring if needed.
