Timing off set to injector timing.

Have you ran the offset learn now that the new engine is installed? the general rule of thumb is to do the time set first and see where the actual injection timing is at. adjust (with engine off) till you get as close to 3.5 as possible, then run the learn function. if your already done...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Connected up the one spare battery back on the 95 truck and wrapped the positive cable end on the drivers side with a red rag, climbed in and she fired right up. I could tell she was cranking on one battery by the slightly slower starter but at least she started. I will leave it connected up...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

went out this morning and checked the two batteries I have in the truck again. I had left both the spare I had and the new other one disconnected, the spare showed 12.56v and the new went down to 8v. pulled the now deemed bad battery out and checked with Advance where I bought them (finally...

I might go pick that one up, also put their 2 year replacement warranty on it. you can't go wrong with HF warranty, they replace it in store no questions asked.

This is one I would like. it tells you exactly what cca the battery can output. https://www.harborfreight.com/12v-digital-battery-and-system-tester-58759.html The one I used to have back in the day was this one. worked really well you set the dial to the CA or CCA the battery was rated...

`Smokey Starts getting worse with the colder weather

I would take the whole tester to the hydraulic shop, just tell them it has BSP thread and you want this NPT gauge to fit. usually they'll take it and find a fitting for you.

Yep that was what i was thinking. both batteries are disconnected and plan to check them tomorrow again to see if one went down. the 93 has batteries from the JY. if I can't get any "pro rated" warranty on these two, my plan is to visit the JY for a couple to go into the 95. at least for...

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

I bet that "idata-link" is some sort of device for a tablet or PC to have constant live ECM data. maybe even similar to a programmer on the ECM.

If one rim is cracked, I'd be inspecting the other three too! My son-n-law's Challenger had a cracked rim, he took it to try and get it repaired but after the repair he and the same shop could never get the bead to seal properly, his had a pretty severe crack across the bead and the lip began...

    Cylinder Head and Camshaft Comparison.

I really wish GM and or AMG would have designed the heads for the 6.2/6.5 to be like the SBC gassers with a stud for each rocker. things would be so much easier for us.

Well battery #2 in the 95 went fubar. after charging last night with my small charger, check them today and they are dead. disconnected them from the truck and measured voltage. the spare I installed is at 11v and the new one from 21 is at 9v. I know the spare was decent as it was holding...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Well after finding a bad battery in my 95 the other day, installing another spare I had, and charging them up. leaving it sit for two days I go out this evening to check on it only to find them dead once again! I must have an intermittent drain. when I checked for a parasitic drain the...

Yeah, this CKO provent doesn't have a check valve in it. I did try venting with a tube from the valve cover to under the truck but that turned into a smoke show! stopping at an intersection I had so much oil fog collecting up around the front of the truck a fella would thing something was on...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

Maybe an injector pissing a stream vs atomized spray. My son-in-law's dad has an 03 box truck (van chassis) with a 6.0l engine. the engine is fubar now due to something in the PCM or wiring triggering the injectors to open and fill cylinders with fuel before cranking. it's hydro-locked on...

`Smokey Starts getting worse with the colder weather

A hydraulic shop should be able to get you a BSP to NPT adapter. lots of foreign equipment use BSP fittings.

Went back and re-adjusted the light load advance cam on the throttle shaft after reading up on it last night. found out it's main function is to give a light amount of advance under low RPM and light loads. it's said that once the RPM is up the internal housing pressure takes over. it all...

    My Shop

I bet with all the insulation and foam board it's gonna be air tight and warm even without a heater going. are you planing on sheet rock or wood for the interior walls?
