    Power Steering Pump Hose Routing

I mentioned that twice on the gmt400 thread. I try to shorten my answers for you since you commented they were too long. Were my responses there not detailed enough?

    Zombie Solutions lift pump

Any pump can work if not flow on fail. Just add a T fitting before and after pump. Connect the two T with a one way check valve.

    Zombie Solutions lift pump

Filtering point- skip if you know you aren’t adding filters. If this is inappropriate please moderator move it to a fuel filter thread. I feel it’s appropriate because the cost becomes justified to get the better liftpump assembly for many. I Went back and read my last book above - wanted...

    Zombie Solutions lift pump

Yes that is a carter lift pump. I installed many of them over the years. They last a few years and die, slowly loosing pressure along the way after year one. But Leroy sells the Carter with install kit for $20 less than Zombie guy who you can’t get ahold of to buy, hows that work when there is...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

At your local hydraulic shop they make custom hydraulic hoses all day. You know my stance on engine cooler hoses. Steel lines are nice here because nothing rusts. In rusty areas I don’t understand why people stay with metal lines and factory crappy connectors outside of initial cost. Do the...

The cko filters do almost nothing in the provent style housing. The housing was designed to help the REAL PROVENT filter work properly. The cko thing is lucky to capture 2%. Not buying the real provent filter makes the cko housing a waste of money & time. You have gone down the rabbit hole...

    F-350 to Caterpillar

There are smart swaps. This doesn’t fit that category.

About the 9G plugs: Yes decades ago that was the part number and it was not self regulating. Quite the opposite it was a plug that had issues burning itself away. And when water was mixed in the fuel (less common when we had real diesel) GM was convinced that caused the damage. And by taking...

Buy the AC Delco 60G plugs. Attached is a picture as to why you don’t want anything else in there. Quadstar, Leroy Diesel, Twisted Steel Performance (TSP doesn’t sell glows afaik) are all trusted suppliers. If you buy AC Delco anywhere else it NEEDS to be a brick and mortar AUTHORIZED...

    F-350 to Caterpillar

Seen it done here a couple times. Reliable but when it needs repairs the components are wicked expensive from cat. Not powerful enough to offset the weight. When he has to panic swerve —you will be able to buy the remnants of the truck reality cheap. The guy that didn’t wreck his...

Nothing wrong with hill billy- but you are about to become bill stuck in the hills. That plastic jug and cpvc withstanding the heat of that oil and not melting- Nope. Replace that cpvc with metal. Cpvc has a service temperature of 200f. You are about to create your own oil slick dispersed...

That is a place the constant tension and the safety wire clamp methods shine.

The fun thing isnt double and triple checking but sometimes that gets it. So… If you disconnect the injector lines from the injectors and try to start it- you should get little “spits” of fuel coming out. To keep the mess down you can slip an empty water bottle over each line and crank away...

It’s technically a return circuit. Aka low pressure side not the high pressure side.

There is a wide selection- Here is the best comparison video I’ve seen on them. A couple thingsI learned - the cheap ones fail no matter who makes them. Differenct brands have massively different results. In the video below I add NO VALUE to how wide, how thick, or what strength lifting...

Well dang. Constant “fizzle” sounds like air intrusion like why you have a clear line out the ip return. I think you have a loose fitting, bad hose clamp, split hose, etc on the suction side of the system. It is possible a bad pump can do that but you might have has $7 worth of life in the...

    New and random stalling issue

Yup- hope that was it! Yeah, proper size wires makes the shocktricity go gooder! GM hires the best penny pinching crew around. As big a difference as you see with the proper size cables now- it’s t will make that big an impression when ya jump to a power master starter down the road.

Just fill, jack, turn. Then engine on & turn. If it foams- stop and do more later.
