Big Rigs. What do you prefer

If you list it you will probably get what you paid maybe more if it is still 3A Food Grade. They are in high demand. Our first one we paid 26k for and it was a 96 spring ride, the last two were both 40k, air ride 6500s one was a 97 the other is an 01. They dont loose much value.

Thanks for the offer, we're staying with newer ones (mid nineties and up) and dad prefers 6,500s. Our oldest one has Reyco spring ride, it's not terrible but it is noticeable. The other two are air rides. All are Brenner/Bar-Bel's which is nice because one of their plants is 10 minutes from our...

In a way. Im still lazy though and wouldnt do much if I couldnt do it by machine. Heres the Valvecover off my Jetta TDI that I did. The trailer would be a breeze compared to this thing. A lot of sandinf then 5 stages of compounds plus a sealer at the end.

Speaking of food grade I forgot to add that we had to purchase two more milk tankers. We started up another dairy at a location 60 miles from here back in December. Bought an 01 6500 gallon air-ride tanker when we first went online with it and just bought another one last week to keep up with...

Update on our trailer's. Got the 31' Alum-Line Cattle trailer a little while back. It's been okay, the service has left a lot to be desired and the quality is hit or miss, already has enough little things broken. Had issues with the hydraulic brakes as well. Dad liked it because of the floor...

Put a 6,000 lumen LED 13" light bar on our loader today. Factory lights were getting weak and some of the housings were broke. Volvo parts require a lot of vaseline ($7,200 for a coolant radiator for 140hp loader, $250 for light housing) so after drooling over the expensive Vision X stuff, I...

If you want cheaper stuff go get one of the bigger led bars off of ebay. They will be similar looking to the visionx ones but cheaper. They wont be as high quality but the quality of the visionx ones isnt always needed. Heres a link to their wholesale site. Their main site has more detailed...

There is a link in the post above. Summit was the only place that had them listed at the time. They just came out with the 2500 lumen version. The size is in the link above. They are not cheap though. $220 each. I have been lokking at Vision X light bars for future lighting upgrades.

Merged them for you. Got some Grote LED Trilliant lights for the rear of the Volvo today. 2500 Lumen Cubes. Pictures don't quite show a good comparison and what the light is capable of. One was smashed off the loader so I am replacing both with these...

Yes they are the same size, the flexing on the rear one makes it look much smaller. When out actually working the front is loaded much more. I rotate the tires every oil change (500hrs) anyways to keep the wear even on the tread. Rears like to wear out much quicker.

Got in a set of Michelin's Bibsteel All Terrain's this week. Weren't ready to buy another set of Tweel's yet and wanted to see how these performed. Being steel belted radials they are more resistant to punctures to begin with. Most all other SSL tires are Bias ply. These were a little more than...

I dont think age has anything to do with my comparison. If something rides nicer than something else it rides nicer no matter how old you are. What do you have for a skid? Mulching is dirty work.

The 262C2 in the picture above is cleaner, smoother and as quiet as our L60E wheel loader. It's faster to get in and out of as well. Skid steers have their place. Our loader wouldn't be able to do most of the jobs we do with them effectively. In addition, who wants over $100,000 tied up into a...

They will have places set up by the time they need retreads. I am not sure if they will have their own tread or just use off the shelf treads. From what I can tell there is no official warranty spelled out. However, as with most large tires from all brands, if you have a failure you just deal...

They currently dont work that way. They are brand new and in limited release. They will not be used in a retread exchange program for now. When talking to one of the guys at Tweel he said they intend to have people get their own Tweels retreaded locally. While getting them retreaded you just...

I picked up our set of Tweel's today for our Cat 262C2 Skid Steer. We have had too many headaches with pneumatic tires due to punctures. Whether its a simple or large one, it happens too often. The turning point on this machine was when one of the workers stabbed the bale spears through the...

That's what I am saying. When Agco moves in things go south. They have left Fendt alone as well. Hopefully it stays that way.
