The low-beams, that is.
I have
'84 Blazer - 6.2
'84 Suburban - 6.2
'82 PU - 6.2
Had
'84 Blazer parts car - 350 gasser
ALL of them keep/kept burning out the passenger side low beam lights. (The parts car had a burnt out pass side lo beam)
Never high beams, never driver side lo beams. Can anybody...
A bit late, but, it turns out, the alternator is good, the plug was very dirty, the batteries were BAD.
All is well, , , ,
Local auto parts here (O'Reillys) sell that same alternator plug with ± 12" leads, hmmm, , , ,
I took the alternator in to where I bought it (O'Reillys), They tested it as good. They have allus been good about things 'I trust them'. The '2 wires' plug (to the alternator) was quite dirty, I have three 6.2 junker vehicles & the same plug is as bad or worse than on my Blazer. Its been...
The dead alternator from March, what happened was, the 'v'belt broke & I was out running around, car starting kept getting weaker & weaker so I drove straight home, walked up to mailbox, coming back I saw something dangling under car, was the belt. Drove other car to store & bought (all) new...
I replaced the batts in my Blazer, dont remember when, cant find reciept. Bought 'Enterprise' batts at Costco. Didnt punch out date/year 'chads'. Has a small round yellow circle 9/14 on both batts. I did not think it was that long ago, but I could be wrong.
Locally mild winter lows have not been...
Original set front end out of alignment after 35 years. what a nightmare that was to fix.
If you are not familiar, (I was not), there are several 'cones' with offset threads for adjusting. This "alignment shop" sent my car to another "shop", as they could not get the adjusters out, second shop...
I bought a gearwrench set, (2 actually inchs & metric), Totally happy with them.
When I was in USAF, the aircraft mechanics had these (not exactly ratchet) wrenches they called 'G E' wrenches. Had the ridges to fit on bolt/nut heads, only a 3rd or ¼ the way around, & 'wobbled' on the handle...
I have for parts an '82 PU & an '83 Suburban, both 6.2 diesels. My driver is an '84 Blazer, 6.2 also.
Question: Are the hydroboost units interchangeable among these three vehicles??
Q 2: Do they go bad from "sitting on the south 40" for 15-20 years?

Ran across this youtube article:
I never ran one this old! Company had 2 50's era D-6's. Did not like running them.
Didnt know exactly where to post this, , , , , farm equipment??

I need a pair of stock steel 6 bolt rims for my '84 Blazer, so far, no one, on-line/phone book(!) has any.
In my recent thread about getting the Blazer front end aligned, these clowns ruined the 2 front rims, as in way way way over torqueing the lug nuts. Rims & lugs just galled like you...
The alignment shop found everything out of specs after various 'ball joints'(?) were replaced rubber seals were rotten & open, could see much corrosion inside. All they could do 'as is' was toe in/out. My Blazer spent ½ its life in Missouri (salt on roads??) Diesels are pretty rare 'round here...
How big a deal is aligning the front end of a (solid axle) '84 Blazer??
I think there are 'eccentric cones' involved in the axle frame/body.
Is this difficult, hard to do?
Should most alignment shops be able to do this?
How much cost before its more than vehicle is worth?
I love the Blazer...
I've been driving diesel powered for 40 years now. (1st was a brand new '79 VW Rabbit diesel) (needed a new car to bring my new daughter home from the hospital!) VW, Chev, Datsun, MBZ. Anyway, I never ran one out of fuel till last week. I keep track of mileage to avoid just this. Drove home the...
