This morning it was cold, in the low 50's but it warmed up to about 76. [emoji41]
The traffic here is crazy, especially if you try to go across any of the big bridges around rush hour which is getting to where it's jammed up all the time.
Jeff with all the great back roads you guys have, it...
Been riding whenever I can lately, it's so much less stressful than driving. Met someone downtown today for lunch....bike was easier to park.

Here's a KLR for sale in Austin with a ton of aftermarket goods.
KLR/DRZ are good bikes. Fun to ride and light weight. Take a look at a BMW F650GS also, you can find used ones in the same price range.
The two bikes at the top of this thread are big pig adv bikes. I've got a BMW R1200GS ADV...
Yeah, I've had more dirt bikes than I care to remember. Bad concussion and a shattered wrist convinced me that I didn't have a future career racing MX.
I'm happy with the way things turned out....that bike is my escape and I even get to travel and make a few $$ on the side officiating bike...
Realize this isn't a MC forum but hey....why not post about them? I've been into bikes a good part of my adult life and have always wanted an ADV bike. I've had a metric cruiser, a naked Buell and currently have a GS. Never been into sportbikes or anything crazy.
The GS got new tires today...
The 2011 super duty I had with the Denso two knob nav unit was hard drive based. You could play CDs and DVDs in it and the nav still worked.
IIRC GM used a Denso nav radio in 2011 virtually the same as Ford (could be completely wrong though).
I have no clue who makes the new SD card nav units.
Sounds like it could be salt belt related? Is the caliper siezed on the pins & bushings? That's the first thing that comes to mind when you said the inboard side was the main issue.
Neat looking, but I agree... a couple of cups of oil when you're talking 10 quarts is nothing.
If you're the type who forgets to tighten the plug to begin with, would you remember to safety wire it every time you change the oil?
I just got a new laptop and asked the guys... they said our EA will remain on Win7 through 2015 at least. You don't have to look hard to find XP laptops there either.
On another note, I'm spending $$ on new VMWare clusters and I'm trying to get them to add Server 2012 to the EA.
I've refused to jump on the Apple bandwagon and have been an Android user since 08 or so. The HTC One I have as my personal phone has hands down been the best smartphone I've had. It's fast and has great battery life, good sound and a good display.
Just got told I'm getting an iPhone from work and they're taking my ancient Galaxy S.
I'd rather keep the Galaxy with the battery that keeps falling out and won't download 90% of the apps from the play store because it's too old.
The 304ss MBRP system I had fit excellent and sounded good with the cat still in place, it wasn't loud and did not have a drone.
When I put a cat delete pipe on it was annoying IMO, really loud at WOT and the vacuum cleaner hissing got old fast. Ended up putting the cat back on after a while...
