My mechanic says a 6.5 never steams out the exhaust

That can happen also. It just depends on the exact failure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

My mechanic says a 6.5 never steams out the exhaust

Yeah, would've helped to say that up front. They will with a bad head gasket and coolant getting into the cylinder. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Have you ever seen a diesel do it? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Driven wood posts

I've seen talks of people coating the end with used motor oil. Same as using creosote. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Colorado 4 cylinder diesel

Oh for sure. Put next to a regular cab 1500 of the same year, they're pretty big. While the size has changed, in my eyes it's still a "mini truck." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Colorado 4 cylinder diesel

I've heard 30's being doable. There's a shop down here already tuning them. At least the guy at the dealer claimed a buddy had his tuned there. Well a quick searched showed tuning being available from a few company's. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Colorado 4 cylinder diesel

I wouldn't mind one. It would be tuned straight off the lot though. In Stock form unloaded, I wasn't impressed with the power. I'm sure towing would maybe be able to feel the torque "better." But I've always like the GM mini trucks anyways, so I'm kinda biased. Lol Sent from my...

    Colorado 4 cylinder diesel

I thought a couple here had them. May be thinking of another site. I test drove one though. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    Converting R12 guages to R134a

I bought the hf kit. So far seems to be fairly quality. (Can't believe I just said that lol) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

GMC Brigadier Cummins wont rev just idles

I believe that's a bleeder valve. I would be surprised if there's not a hand primer on it somewhere. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Going mechanical with a Moose Omega Marine IP

My plan is to throw my 6.2 into a s10. That'll be awhile though. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

    HVAC REBUILD

Hydrocarbon. Aka propane. Lol I've heard good things about the enviro-safe. I wanted to use that when I recharged my ford, but I was on a role and didn't want to wait for shipping. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

How to get Amsoil as cheap as possible?

From what I understood dealer pricing is cheapest. Then preferred customer was slightly more than that. But the guy above me is probably right. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Also wanted to throw in that Mel has said adjusting the fuel screw will affect the timing. Just something to ponder. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

I hope the 6.5L fleet does not revolt....

Correct. I was told later on the spec was changed to mercon v. To include the older trucks. I'll see if I can get ahold of any publications. Which what I saw was the mercon v is supposed to be a synthetic. Can't confirm it though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Iirc, the diesels called for synthetic. Not the gassers though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

I'm thinking you could machine a block to house the HPCA in. Of course you would have to re-time it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
