so I got the codes pulled. I swear I will be bald by the time I get this thing going right. Right now wishing I had enough money to go buy another truck!!!! Codes are 22-APP circuit low 68- trans slip detected 81 trans 2-3 shift solenoid circuit fault 85- trans gear error 87- trans gear ratio...
No trans shifts great. Fluid looks and smells great ( as great as tranny fluid can smell) No service engine light. Trans had a light overhaul on it about two years ago. By light I mean it wasn't a full rebuild. I will get the codes pulled as soon as I can.
Hey got a 1993 chev with a 6.5 and a 4l80e trans. The trans will go into overdrive and lock up, then kicks out. I saw on a forum it could be the throttle position sensor and it may need adjusted so I did so. One way made it shift hard and would go into OD at all, the other would allow it to go...
So what is the part number and the company that I probably need? I would like to make this thing right as I need it to last a long time. thanks for all the help.
If it is a low pressure, could it be a high volume low pressure pump? If so is that really that bad? I will try to get the casting numbers. When I rebuilt the motor the timing set said it was at least a 94 engine. Where is the Julian Date Code? thanks for all the help, I am use to dodge gas...
I just took another look. So there is a silver plug with a very small hole in it that is jammed way up there. The valve on the other hand, I can push it up and down with a piece of wire. Seems to push very free and easy.
Turbo is good, no use of excess oil. But I took the filter adaptor off and saw the bypass valve. It is about 1/2 inch up in the hole and I can't seem to get it to budge. Was wondering how to get it out. A machine shop I use has a new one for me but I want to get the old one out to take with me...
Bought the truck and it ran down the road at about 45psi idled at about 35psi. on both stock and mechanical gauge. Over the course of 65000 miles the oil pressure dropped more and more till the warning light would come on when it idled and it was only running about 10 at 2500 rpms. Took the...
Don't remember what the specs were exactly but I do know they were well within the specs listed in the GM service manual.
ok this may sound like a total novice, but then again, in a lot of ways I am a novice in diesel repair. What is the main web? I have never heard that term before.
Both stock and mechanical gauge hooked up, new oil cooler lines, new sending unit, mechanical gauge with copper line is new, no kinks in any of the lines. there were no metal fragments in anything all was clean. Using Delo 15W 40 oil.
Hey hoping for some help. I have 1993 one ton 4X4 with a 6.5 that started to lose oil pressure. I read that it could be the camshaft and bearings. Sure enough I pulled the camshaft and it was shot. Long story short, I replace cam and bearings, new crank, and new rod, main bearings, new heads...
