There appears to be plenty of flat real estate on the inside of the fender to mount a battery tray. I suppose I'll put some "fat-lady" rubber between the tray and the inner fender to keep it from rubbing and rusting.
I think the battery relocation is the way I'll end up going. It just seems more feasible at this point although I'm unsure if the hood will close once the battery is up there. It's really close. I moved one of the elbows to direct the smaller version of the K47 type air filter and it seems to...
I will take a better look today but I'm leaning toward something like this:

I/C has to be down the road. This truck needs some road time. It was actually supposed to be my DD this summer and that hasn't happened yet. The time to focus on it is limited so the 5 hours I had yesterday got me some major progress, relatively speaking.
Rubber.
I was thinking that...
As a follow-up to the above photo, I went back and got a closer look to find they don't actually touch but are just extremely close.

After the Donaldson cobra head adapters proved to be too big in the bell portion, I found these which are fairly sharp on the inner radius. The 90...
That is pretty slick. Would need a pretty flat surface and stones would likely be out.
Handiest part would be that if a guy needed to move the trailer temporarily, he wouldn't have a bunch of time in jacking and unblocking just to reset it.
Just now reading this on the Goodyear Endurance tires. I had a set put on our camper rims last week since one of the original tires blew out while sitting in the driveway. I guess I'll get to see how they do. Recommended brand was chinese so I opted for these since they're made in the USA...
Starter from HMMWV and maybe others? Engine had about 1400 miles on it when removed.
Not for a truck application. This is 24V
$300 and buyer pays shipping
This is a used turbo from a HMMWV. This is off a 2004 HMMWV which had a 2011 engine. The odometer showed 1400 miles. I have NOT tested this but have no reason to believe it wouldn't function as intended. Cover available too.
I can gladly ship this and will also offer local pickup.
$600...
This is a used generator from a HMMWV. This is off a 2004 HMMWV which had a 2011 engine. By the stamp, it appears to be a 2009 generator model. The odometer showed 1400 miles. I have NOT tested this but have no reason to believe it wouldn't function as intended. Pulley comes with the unit...
I remember the discussion on that fitting. I just didn't see it in your setup. There was a plastic bulkhead fitting I found that looked promising also.
