    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

Don’t have the clutch starter safety wired in, but I do have the NSS wired up so it starts. Just waiting on driveshafts to show up from High Angle Driveline and I’ll be cruisin. Also scored a stick diesel cluster. I wanted the completely refurbished one on eBay, but I couldn’t justify the...

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

I'm running an HE351CW with a low-and-back exhaust manifold, and I already have a 4" stainless mandrel 90* attached to it still from the original downpipe I had built. Should be fairly simple for someone else to whip up a small section.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

I routed them the same, normal heater hose, but I wrapped them in high temp heat tape.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

need to track down a diesel stick cluster for less than $200. Don't need it, but it would definitely be icing on the cake.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

yeah, got the NV4500 and BW4470 in, was hoping to just drill new holes in the frame rails for the crossmember, but it'll be too close to other holes for me to feel safe. new crossmember to be fabbed. redid the rear heater lines, routed them along the framerail to the front instead of over the...

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

I read all of your replies, and thank you. Before I saw the replies though, I posted an ISO on my Instagram, a guy hit me up. Solid NV4500 mated to a BW4470, master and slave cyl, clutch, and flywheel out of his p pump 24V GMT400. He's going to a 48RE. The pallet be here next monday. I...

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

took truck down the trees for a quick test drive, heard a loud CLUNK, then a shortly after a WHIZZZZ. So now I’m just going to 5 speed swap. What trans? Dodge NV4500? Chevy NV4500? I’d like to keep my fresh rebuild NP241C. If I use chevy 4500, what needs to be changed? Input shaft? If I...

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

I replaced my rear main seal, changed my trans filter and fluid, got it all buttoned back up. there’s a whine emitting from the front of my transmission when key ON, but engine OFF. Any ideas? Sounds similar to a pump without fluid. Is there an electronic device in there I don’t know about?

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Curious why you don't just add compounds and crank up the fuel on the 12V? Just to do something different? I totally understand if that's the case.

how is the p pum 6.7 coming along? I read a thread about the p pump swap on a 6.7, the guy said it was a real pain and a ton of custom work had to be done to get the pump on there. maybe someone has come up with a better solution.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

not yet, really. having a fabricator build a custom trans crossmember and finish up some other fabrication stuff. I'm just as anxious to get it done as the next guy.

Tig welds can be super “small” but also super strong. It is interesting that it looks like he used different methods, but it should be just fine.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

Got the AVNW mounts today. Quality appears to be top notch. Got them mostly in. Hear you me, changing motor mount system with the engine in the way is not fun. Luckily I have a 90* drill and was able to snake it in there to drill the holes. Gonna need to borrow a friend this weekend to help...

It is still insane to me that so many of us got hosed.

    99 Suburban 6.5 to 5.9 Cummins Swap

I ordered new motormounts from Adventure Vehicles NW. Disappointed in the poor fitment of the SSOR. It will be nice to have something that fits.

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Don’t need a body lift, but they say it makes the swap easier. Do need body lift or a hole in the hood for a driver side A/C compressor.

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Yeah, I’m gonna give him a call as well and order some. It looks so ugly with that 1” plate on the side, especially after I spent hours and hours trying to tidy the engine bay up as neatly as possible

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

I’ll be sending an email shortly. Really bums me out. I may wait a bit as the economy has hit the skids, I hate to knock a dude when he’s down. I’m sure there aren’t many new Cummins conversions starting now or soon.

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Well, it's very frustrating that every person who has ordered them has gotten hosed. I think his design is definitely the best on the market, however this fitment issue is definitely not what I, nor any of us would have expected for $400.

Adventure Vehicles NW vs Autoworld Motor Mounts

Yeah, hard to say. I think the OP is the only one that can really say for sure, as he has a set of both motormount style.
