GMT-800 style Trailer Tow mirrors TTM for GMT-400 trucks

Mine were working just fine prior to swapping to the newer style K2XX mirrors.

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Well, I put this on earlier this week, but I got a heck of a deal on an exhaust kit - Brand new Gibson Side Swept cat-back for $240 shipped. It's not exactly what I was planning for exhaust but at that price I couldn't say no. OEM vs Gibson A much better flowing muffler, and larger mandrel...

88GMCtruck's never ending 88 GMC build thread

I agree. I like having my vehicles practical. HAHA pretty much. I think they really look nice on the older bodystyle trucks. I was unaware they cast them, not surprising though.

Alright, now that I'm done being an adult for the day, I managed to snap some picts before the sun went down. Narrow wheels, tires under the fender, and a slightly different design makes it look much taller. I'm pleased.

I need to try them out, yes. But I also have a hard time getting that perfect polished wheel dirty and that oh so clean amazing rubber stained. Thanks Mike!

I went with the same size as it had before, 315/75R16. I WISH there was a tire close to this height that wasn't quite as wide, at least something that was mainstream, not military or made by interco.... -------------- Got all 4 shined up last night. Then spent some time with the tire spoons...

88GMCtruck's never ending 88 GMC build thread

Welp, trying to get this project rolling, going to start out doing some of the things I can without tearing the truck down and rendering it unusable just yet. Particularly I don't want to rip the suburban apart till I can have the truck apart and ready, cause once I take things apart I have to...

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Thanks guys. Went down to the wreckers quick to see what they had, and to try and find a non-broken Escalade bezel to replace mine (it's cracked and missing a tab, although still works ok). Ended up finding this woodgrain steering wheel in a conversion van, matches the trim pretty well although...

88GMCtruck's never ending 88 GMC build thread

"I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack" Ok, well I've never left. But time for a bit of an update. As many of you know based on this tread, I have been formulating a plan to re-build the truck for a long time. Some of you may have caught this in my dually's build, but part of my plan was me selling my 02 GMC a...

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Just some eye candy from the other day while I had the truck at work. Also, got my rear view camera installed, it works really well. I like having the view on the freeway and will be great for hooking the trailer up.

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

YAY MOAR THINGS Decided it was time after many days thinking about it, that some more stereo upgrades were in order. most of this is just wiring stuff which isn't very exciting, so here are the highlights. First off was a sub. Without building something custom, my options are limited. I didn't...

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Yeahhhhh It was a tough decision but was a smart decision overall. It frees up space and money plus allows me to focus on the 88 more. Surprised nobody was interested in the reason I had an unloaded trailer behind my truck...... Yup. 1998 K2500 Suburban. Black with grey interior...

Yeah, I love camping, and our state has tons of places to do it too. It's just becoming so damned crowded. ---------------- Did my normal thing the other weekend, had to show these shots :) Most of our group So, just as an update, last weekend I sold my 02 GMC. Part of me is broken...

But I'm not done yet.... Carefully modified my set of euro amber upper corner lights. They ended up being off center a bit due to the way the light/grille are angled behind the GMC grille. I also added some fake tile backsplash to the camper kitchen. These stick on tiles are pretty cool.

It's been doing good, I have a set of Geartech HD coolers sitting on the workbench waiting to go on. For the life of me I just don't feel like crawling under the truck right now  ---------------------------- MMMMM dinner is served! My take on LED tails. I probably should have...

88GMCtruck's 98 Silverado Towpig Build: "Black Fox"

Been a minute since I've updated this thread :P Oh that's right I went camping again. I'd never do that would I? My partner in crime most trips Eastern Washington is beautiful in summer. Have actually been home the last few weekends, the most recent one involved a full wash, clay, wash...
