Yeah I'm not sure which sensor is unplugged if there are two. Nor have I messed with it either! I'd just hate for something to crop up and I wouldn't know about it because the CEL is already on.
That's right, and it runs smooth with it out... though it's tripped the CEL on the dash. I actually care less about this than the CEL being on and hogging up its single notification method of something else needing to trigger it! Anyone experienced something similar?
Mine has 280k on the clock and I don't think it's ever been rebuilt, though the trans has. It runs great, but as I build it up to take my family into the backwoods for camping, I keep wondering about this. There's always the risk of course, but some expectations are better than rolling the dice...

Ok, so would buying a new wastegate be an ideal next step? Would not relieving the back pressure (?) cause the symptoms I initially described/could the wastegate be the culprit? I can't seem to find any for my 1993, most are advertised for 1994+. None for the GM-3. Any recommendations?

Ok thanks, guys. I'll take another look at the wastegate and see if I can disconnect to move it. It does appear to be in the rear/open position with the truck off. I'll try and get the truck started today as well and see if that changes to front/closed. I'll find a new fuel filter as well...

Thanks, guy- that's what I'm starting to find out. Will I lose any low end with the ATT vs. a GM-8? If the difference between the most ideal snail for my rig is a couple hundred or less, I'll get the better one if it comes down to the turbo. Plus exhaust.
